We are so happy we chose Marcella's to cater the doughnuts for our wedding reception. If my sister didn't save some for us to... enjoy at the end of the night, we would have missed them! Everyone loved them and it wasn't long til they were all consumed! Wehad a positive experience working with the staff at Marcella's and they truly wanted to make sure everything was perfect. I always loved Marcellas doughnuts. This morning I stopped in to get 2 long John's for my clients. When I got to work I realized... he had put both of them in 1 small paper bag. I immediately took them out because of the icing. No problem there they were hard.My client asked me to warm them up but even that didn't help the edges. Stopped today based on reviews and got 8 assorted doughnuts of what was left. The only thing I tasted was grease and they were... hard...my husband thought they were day old and commented that the doughnuts from Walmart bakery would have been a betterchoice. Very disappointing, won't be back. Response to owner....WOW....rude and unprofessional to an HONEST review. I came toyour business BECAUSE of the reviews and was excited to try something new. If you, as a business owner can not take constructivecriticism maybe you are in the wrong business. Seeing as how you were closed when we tried your product it was difficult foryou to "make it right" I take offense to being accused of posting a fake review to "bolster my buddies business" I don't havetime for that nonsense. And based on the product we tried yesterday...you should take this 1 star review personally. They werenot edible. $13.62 in the trash...wouldn't even let the raccoons eat them. They deserve better. I have purchased doughnuts from Marcella's several times. The doughnuts are delicious. Occasionally I will try something new and... not care for it, but I think that is to be expected. If there is anything to give feedback on it is this... If you are wantingCronuts go early, like 06:00 early. I'll spare you a rant about bakeries and somehow not knowing what to make more of. I mustnote they are on the high side on costs, however, these are not Dunkin's. Ok what I've tried... Cronuts - It's a flakeylayered doughnut, and they are amazing! Lemon Filled - If you can get one and like lemon flavored stuff, try one. Apple Pie -You'll only need one. It is just like an apple pie sans the crust, but the topping even makes up for that. Oh my!! Let me tell you about this place... They have the best donuts hands down. I go to both locations and omg when I tell you... their donuts are to die for. I always grab me the Baker dozen and take it to work or just for me myself and I haha. Theircustomer service is unbelievable and very friendly people that works here.
