Been here twice recently. Staff was helpful, food was good. A little pricey, but I do choose to go back.
I?ve visited this location about 6 times within the last 4 years and ever time has been ???? If I could franchise J. Gumbos in... my city I would ???? that?s how much I?ve enjoyed the food at this location. There?s a black lady who I think runs it. She?scool and knowledgeable about every meal. Gumbo ingredients included sausage. No sausage. Barely any rice just sauce. Come on now bowls should be full and fulfilling.
Rice overcooked and under seasoned. Sooooo dry. Bland and cajun food were never words i thought id use in the same sentence.... Poor quality sausage tasted more like a dry hot dog. Over cooked chicken. The shrimp also was..... you guessed it overcooked. Ifi could give a lower review i would. Read more
I love Cajun food so I decided to try this location today. I ate at the Ludlow Ave location ages ago and remember it being good.... Well today at the WInton location not so much. I ordered the shrimp etouffee. The seasoning was great but the rice was crunchy,not enough roux and was very disappointed with the 5 or 6 salad sized bag shrimp they put in it!!! Read more
I purchased my order today and it was awful. The rice was over cooked and "no meat"! Very disappointed considering I was advised... to try their Druken Chicken (was advised of the Blue Ash location). So I found a location closer and bowl of rice. What littlemeat was inside not sure it was sausage, along with the bay leaves and hard as rock! Only a few bites and was done. Read more
Got the voodoo and drunken chicken bowl. This was prob better then what I had when I was down in New Orleans. The voodoo was... spicy but manageable though to me. The service was great. Friendly employees. Quiet atmosphere. If you haven?t been here, it?s amust! Read more
