My husband and I had lunch at Bacall's and we were not at all pleased. There apparently was no seating host/hostess on duty and... we waited 10 minutes at the door to even be acknowledged. There were multiple men behind the bar and three or four other menstanding around but no one spoke to or acknowledged us. Really weird vibe. When we were finally seated our server was notfriendly and we had to get his attention each time we needed him. We had to ask a different server for napkins and flatware. Ourserver stood near the kitchen looking at his cell phone. We both ordered sandwiches and when they came they had cheese on themwhich we had not ordered. We told the server we had not ordered the cheese and he said it was his mistake but the up charge forit was still on our bill when we were ready to pay. This was the worst service I've ever experienced anywhere. Cannot recommendthis place. It's a shame, because the place is very cozy and well decorated. Read more

I lived in College Hill 30 years ago & this was our GoTo joint. Now I don't go as much but every time I do, I ask myself why I... don't go more often. Love this place. Good food, ice cold draft beer, friendly folks. I'll be back soon. Read more
First time here since the remodel and everything looks great. Food was delicious as always and the service was top notch.
I have not been here in years. Went for the cincy burger week burger. We spent 10 minutes waiting to be seated, no problem. ... We got seated and after 15 minutes no one even asked about a drink order, that was a problem, I suggested we leave. After 20minutes a waitress finally came over for a drink order. We ordered drinks and asked to order dinner as well since it was now8:20 in the evening. We ordered the burger week special & we were informed they were all out of burgers. BIG PROBLEM. Weleft. Everything was not seasoned. My mac and cheese came out still frozen in the middle and that was an up charge side item. The fish... was a supposed to be this hand battered special item with 17 herbs and spices. It was flavorless. My husband got shrimp withonion straws. He got fries instead. They took the entire plate back to the kitchen, returned it with less fries and a differentplate of onion straws..... none of it was seasoned and why take the plate. Lovely small business with a classic diner feeling. Prices are fair compared to other sit-down chain restaurants. However... although it has some lean options they're not very exciting. They do offer some choices that may fit other kinds of dietsbetter. But service is awesome and Trivia Tuesday is a really fun time, even if its difficult to hear sometimes. Read more
