We go for Ice Cream in Cicero often. Went today and prices seemed way off. Maybe a new kids working. Got a kids cup vanilla... and sprinkles normally about $3.00 with tax.. Today it was $4.86 with tax! Either the prices went way up or it was wrong. Read more
We have previously been happy with the quality of product but this trip was for a dipped chocolate cone which was drippy... immediately on receipt. The texture was not at all creamy. Not sure how to describe but the ice cream began to melt quickly andsoaked the cone as like water might. The hard chocolate coating was unsatisfying. Not as much chocolate flavor as Dairy Queenand didn't melt in the mouth except slowly. Actually had to chew on it awhile--ick! It reminded me of those wax, liquid filledbottles we used to get as kids. Service not particularly friendly and I'd say Alexander's on the Water needs some rework. Read more
I think Alexanders has great ice cream but I prefer the bigger scoops than the little ones but either way it is great
I ordered the breaded Tenderloin with Onion Rings, a lemonade, and some Ice Cream. There were quite a few other people that... ordered before and after me. After around 30 minutes other people started to get their orders. The guy behind the counter saidthat one of the bags wasn't theirs that he had given them and that it was mine. They brought the bag back to me and I saw theTenderloin sandwich and then left. When I got home I found out I had fries. I think they should go to a number system so thisdoesn't happen more often. I advised that I have a severe gluten allergy and the order girl told me I could have the vanilla hard ice cream. After I ate... the ice cream in halve an hour I became extremely sick for 5 hours. Read more
We?ve always gone to Alexander?s on the Square and were excited to try this location out. Way different experience! The staff... was not nearly as friendly. Both of our orders were actually wrong. The orders were made so sloppy with ice cream and toppingsrunning down the side? and the employees didn?t have any gloves on. Probably will not be going back. Read more
