I ordered the market salad and the diver's scallops, both were horrible. The presentation was on point for both, but when it... came to taste I'd give both a 2/10. The salad is overwhelmingly sweet and the scallops were overcooked like rubber and had avery pungent citrus taste in the rice. I then just got the fried chicken and it wasn't good either. The food looks great and theatmosphere is good. The food came out slow and it tasted horrible. The waiter was great though. Read more

We went on a lunch date during the week. It wasn't crowded and had a relaxing atmosphere. The staff was friendly, and our waiter... was quick with service. The food and drinks are okay. We didn't make reservations and were seated upon arrival. Depending on theday/time and party size may want to call ahead to reserve seating. It did take a while for the food to arrive even with theappetizer ordered. I would recommend stopping by and trying it out. It didn't blow my socks off, but it was still a pleasantdining experience. We wanted to love it and it started out great. Wine and appetizers were good. But then we sat 15 minutes with empty glasses and... had to ask someone else for the round we ordered. My husband ordered a $40 ribeye that came out already cut open which wethought was weird. Turns out the steak was well done (barely pink in very center, no pink everywhere else). We brought it up tothe waitress and she said she’d take care of it. Someone else came to our table and said they don’t cook to color but totemperature, so if my husband wanted another steak he could order another one for $40. Well if the first one was overcooked weweren’t going to order another. The rest of the table shared their meals with him. They did offer us a free dessert but wewere kinda over the meal by then. I was just pretty disappointed with the way the situation was handled considering the price. Our ticket was $230 and typically when we spend that much the quality and service are better. Read more

The server we had was fantastic. Just wanted to state that first (5 stars for service) The food however, wasn't good. It was... poorly made, burnt, tasted like fast food and was way overpriced. I couldn't believe they were charging $20 a plate. This placehas so much potential ans it saddens me to place this review..but you can't charge high prices for low quality food. Read more

Great ambiance on the patio, enjoyed the live guitarist. Hospitable service. A bit pricey for the area, but wanted to try it... once. Enjoyed the cajun chicken and the burger. Read more

My husband and I love coming here on special occasions and date nights. There is no other place like Mako's. The food is always... outstanding and the creek area is like a meadow. My absolute favorite dish is the "Diver Scallops" they are always perfectlycooked, buttery, and light. The pea tendril risotto is comfort food at it's finest! The poached pear with TRUE vanilla bean icecream dessert is decadent and another one of my all time favorites. However, everything on the menu is eclectic, exciting anddelicious! From Spanish octopus to watermelon mint gazpacho you will not be disappointed. Their wedge salad with lardonsprinkles is a dream. I can't wait to come back :) other succulent staples include their "Seafood Paella" which includesfragrant saffron risotto, "Bacon Fat Braised Collards" that are dripping in deliciousness, "Salmon Tartare" (salmon chicharronis a must try), and "Chickpea Crusted Salmon" the moussaka is warm and full of tasty spices. So many great options andreasonable prices with super sweet waitstaff. Read more

Nice but casual steakhouse. Very impressed by the fried Brussels sprouts. Boneless ribeye was tender and juicy but I have to... admit I wasn’t expecting the steak to be pre-sliced and I think I prefer it not to be. Was only one of a few tables for Sundaydinner. Service was very good. Read more

Super excited to try this place. It wasn't busy for a Friday night. Really disappointed once we ordered 2 of their $30 meals...... one being the paella and the other being the scallops. The scallops were served on the risotto. The risotto was not good at all,my husband agreed, dry, bland and crunchy. Sadly, the waitress didn't offer a complementary side to substitute. The collardswere great, though we had to pay for them. So basically got 3 scallops for $11 each? :( Boo. Read more
