As soon as up exit your car you can smell the deliciousness that is going to be your day! Awesome place to visit... cool... environment and a really nice selection of food and drink. I got the sampler plate with a 1/4 pound of chicken, pork, brisket, sausage, and pulled pork... I ate half. I can still smell the BBQ! I'll be back to feed my BBQ need whenever itarises. Read more
Had not eaten here since 1992. Decided to stop in tonight. Harmon's us an "institution" in the Cibolo are for decades. Got there... about 6:00 p.m. on a Saturday night. Not very crowded. An older building with an old interior. Plenty of seating in the frontarea of the restaurant and then more in the back. Back area large wide Open spaces with several TVs around the room and a stagefor music acts. Tonight I chose my normal brisket and sausage with beans and potato salad. Now looking up at the menu I was kindof startled by the prices. I know that times are tough in the states right now especially for restaurants. But a two meat platewith two sides for 1995 is a bit on the high side. Probably about $3 to $5 higher than most places that I've eaten here in Southtexas. The food was delivered in a fairly quick manner. There was a good portion of both meats. Potato salad was nothing to bragabout beans were good after I add a little barbecue sauce to them. The meal overall was good I certainly enjoy their cooking.But the price in my opinion, was too high $20 for two meats and two sides. Would I recommend you dining at this location? Iwould yes but just be prepared for maybe a little bit higher price than what you would pay somewhere else. Maybe try a familystyle with lots of choices of meats and maybe it can save you money that way. Read more
Tried this place out and it was good. Some of the brisket was dry but it was good. Servings are good size. Price is decent.
First time At Harmon's BBQ. Our visit was by recommendation and worth the stop. First, very "smokey" meats. BBQ sauce is more... vinegary than most sweet styles. Not a problem adds a punch. Purchased the Sampler which included: Sausage, a Whole Chicken, &Brisket. Plus 3 sides. heavily propotioned, would like a little more brisket maybe but that's me. If there were any suggestions,it would be to offer a great Mac & Cheese. Panko breaded or other. would have totally rounded off the experience. Recommend! Read more
I tried the sampler plate. All of the meats were really good. For the sides I ordered a serving of pinto beans and creamed corn.... The pinto beans were very good and so flavorful. I will definitely visit again. Read more
Visited the area from out of state last week. It was so good I went for lunch two days in a row! Everything was perfectly... cooked. Great customer service. I was leaving and walking to my car outside and the owner (I think) asked how everything was. Iwill return when I?m in the area! (First photo is day one and second photo is day two). Read more
You can smell the BBQ right when you get out of the car. Love the entrance, matches to what they're selling. The atmosphere was... great on the inside. The decor, the pictures on the wall and the bison head you won't miss. Music was great until they playedCeline Dion which was a funny mix. Service was quick, wait for your order number by pick up area. Things were labeled clearly.We both had 2 meat plates with 2 sides. We tried the brisket, sausage, and ribs. Brisket and ribs were great with the sauce!Loved it. Sausage was a little bit of a let down. Too hard. Blue with BBQ, you need to pair it with good sides. Not common tocome across a BBQ restaurant with both good proteins AND sides. Harmon's was a let down on the sides. We had beans, coleslaw,corn cream and potato salad. Corn cream was eh and coleslaw was not too bad. But the rest just wasn't on par. They gotta tweakthe recipe a little bit or change it altogether. Sides on a platter makes a BIG difference.
