Lovely eatery! The food was fantastic, and our waitress was very friendly. The house chips are delicious! Try their specials!
The absolute saddest food I've ever seen! This was supposed to be a Ruben... instead I got some kids subsidized school lunch!!!... The house chips were okay but the tater tots were extremely dark and we're clearly cooked in old, dark oil. We will not bereturning. This was the third time/strike. Very sad, I was really hoping to have another good restaurant in the village. Read more
I love trying out diners and local eateries and this is one of the best! I am a big fan of a good Reuben and often use that as... my indicator of quality food. It's an easy sandwich to make right, if you pay attention to the details, but it's super easy tomess up if you're not careful. My Reuben came out crispy (on both sides!), with the perfect ratio of corned beef, swiss cheese, kraut and dressing. The sweet potato fries were perfect, crispy on the outside and tender inside. My daughter got the ahi tunawrap and LOVED it. My son had the pretzel bites and raved about them. Incredibly nice server that took great care of us andnever left us waiting. One of my best small town food experiences and we will be back!! Read more
THIS IS THE SPOT! A clean and cozy but also modern establishment HIDDEN in plain sight. I had no idea this place was here and I... am saddened to say I wished I had found it sooner. While visiting a friend in Churchville recently we decided it was gettinglate an we were hungry. We had been to Churchville a hundred times before and never really thought to stop and sample the food.(although Crosby's has a half-way decent slice of pizza if you're in a jam). Our friend suggested a local "haunt" of hers calledthe Churchville Grill. Now I will be totally honest here, I never thought I would see a restaurant this nice in Churchville.Especially one located in a miniature brick strip mall. From the road it's hard to even see the place. One doesn't notice ituntil they pull in the parking lot to the Tompkins County Trust (bank). There they are greeted by humble signage in a quaintfont, and a lackluster exterior from the preexisting strip mall. But that is the last time you will be un-impressed. Uponentering I was greeted with a warm and soft lighting scheme. a light blue cast gently along with perfectly placed white spotlights. The interior is modern and in darker earth tones which give it a contemporary feel. I honestly forgot I was inChurchville. Not knocking the town, just not what one would expect here. I was very impressed with the décor. On the far rightwall when walking in is a small bar but only a few people were gathered there. The tables were clean, the atmosphere was happyand it genuinely felt like a family run atmosphere. I saw a lot of smiles, they didn't seem fake. We had a wonderful waitresswho got everything just right and attended the table with a smile and great conversation. My girlfriend ordered the chicken parmsandwich and I regretted not doing the same. The chicken breast and cheese were perfectly pared with just the right amount ofsauce. The sandwich wasn't overtoasted and was quite frankly a wonderful chicken parm. I myself ordered the beef Read more
