They require you to sign in on a tablet with your name and personal information to eat here. I asked if it was required to eat... in and pay cash, the hostess said yes. So I said thanks and walked over to Rubios who took my cash. Read more

It is called "Max's Chicken" for a reason, so word of advice? Get anything fried! Everything else is not as good! I'm... Filipina-American and I can tell you that their Laing (Taro Leaves In Coconut Milk) tasted and looked like tae with almost nococonut milk at all! They should have kept their pinakbet on the menu instead of the Laing! Their Lumpiang Shanghai (Egg Roll)may be delicious when cooked and eaten at the restaurant but by the time it's delivered to your home it'll be stale. EnsaladangTalong (Eggplant Salad) did not come with bagoong so that was disappointing and there were so many eggplant seeds. The winningdish is the Crispy Pata (Crispy Pork Hock)! 100 percent this is the only thing I'd order if I don't feel like cooking it myself! And of course the Max's Chicken is yummy! Chicken and Cripsy Pata only! Everything else just doesn?t feel good to eat. If youwant some delicious ready to go food, head to Jochi?s Resto Grill on Orange Ave Read more

Bought sisig crispy pork, kare kare, and whole fried chicken. Sisig consisted of old left over meat and tasted like it is... spoiled pork. Kare kare broth tasted like it came from a packaged sauce, not fresh at all. Only redeeming part of meal is thechicken which is ok but salty. Everything was overpriced and definitely not worth it. I?m disappointed as I?ve eaten here beforeand it was not this bad. Better to go to national city if wanting to eat good Filipino food. Not recommended. Read more

Visited here recently again. Still a very pleasant place to get your Filipino food cravings satisfied. Despite the workforce... crunch the service industry is experiencing, the service here remains top notch and with a smiling face. Good job Maneth! Read more

Max's restaurant is located in Otay Ranch, right across from the Otay Ranch mall. They have all kinds of Filipino cuisine, they... are known for their fried chicken to be eaten with banana ketchup. The restaurant has a clean and beautiful layout. Currentlythere is one location in San Diego, they are planning on opening a second location towards the end of the year and beginning ofnext year 2020 in Mira Mesa, specifically in the previous Fuddruckers building. So standby all Asian restaurants, you will havesome competition from the restaurant of the Philippine cuisine, because Max's is coming to have their ton of selections and alarge customer base. And we all know that Filipinos support each other and they have a desire for great tasting food and that'swhat they deliver. Read more

The food was excellent. Beef Caldaron, garlic rice, and the chicken was amazing. Kare kare was also great. On their first day,... the service was excellent. There was always a server ready for refills. Read more
