This restaurant serves excellent food in hearty quantities. It doesn't serve alcohol but has delicious tea. It's most unique... dish is Apple Salad. Once you've had it with a meal, there is a temptation to get a to go order for your next dinner at home. We have never purchased take out, but the food served in this restaurant is so good we drive a 60 mile round trip on occasionjust to have dinner here. The service is outstanding and no where is the food better. It's off the normally traveled route andis in a building connected to the American Legion hall in Chugiak. It has reasonable prices and great food. We love it. Read more

This restaurant is one of my very favorite restaurants in Alaska! The best fried rice I?ve ever had
The food was alright, definitely not worth the price point given. If I wasn?t in a time crunch I would have definitely gone to... eagle river for somewhere more worthwhile. When my table arrived(one of 2 tables, the other table had 2 folks) it took 25-ishminutes for the waitress to get our orders, and we spent roughly another 45 minutes waiting for the food to come out. Three togo orders were processed fully and left before we ever received our food. I?m usually very forgiving with circumstances likethis, being in the service industry with a low staff count myself. Tonight just didn?t feel worthwhile. It?s a better investmentto go to the Belle Vista or even Gas Station food if you?re in need of nutrition. I hope to see great things from this place oneday.
