The chicken Quesadilla was quite tasty for an appetizer as well as the potato skins, but it goes down hill from there. Caveat: I... try to give restaurants a bit of a break on my reviews when my party is difficult beyond a normal outing. However too manythings went wrong without a proper resolution. (It was move in day at Virginia tech so everything was busy and we had a partyof 9 that was staggered on our arrival which they did handle well I personally had the Santa Fe steak sans onion and I orderedit medium rare, it was served to me raw (see pic below). I sent it back asking them to cook to medium this time. Not only did Iget the same steak brought back, the fork and knife was still on the plate from sending back ... Big no no. Half of the otherfood arrived cool to the touch including fajitas. The dessert was burnt lightly in areas, no one took more than a bite. Great little Hispanic restaurant with pretty darn tasty margaritas. I have never actually dined inn at this restaurant only... having margaritas as I wait for my takeout order. I certainly will like to one day when I am passing through again. Theydefinitely have plenty of seating for those looking to have a sit down meal. :-) The service has always been professional andtimely. Overall, you won't go wrong with this gem. I just want to say thank you to the waitress we had, I can't remember her name, but she treated my allergies seriously, was nice... to out table, and was on top of refills for drinks and chips. This has to be one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area!And I will happily make the drive from Roanoke before eating at another El Rodeo. Read more
I had traveled 3 hours to have lunch with my brother and his family who also traveled 3 hours, this restaurant was decided based... on other's reviews and was everyone's first time here. None of us were disappointed and It was worth the 3 hour trip. Thewaitress was very kind and kept on top of refills, asking if everything was ok with the food, she was excellent all 'round. Thefood was top notch and was the best mexican food I've ever had, with generous portions. The menu had a good bit of options tochoose from, but was not overwhelming to find anything, it was organized neatly into groups, they even had a vegetarian sectionwhich i find rare in a lot of restaurants. My brother brought three of his kids including a new-born and when we entered therestaurant the hostess asked if we would like a baby carrier sling when she saw the baby carrier. The atmosphere was cozy andrelaxing with lots of warm tones like wood, warm yellow light, and copper wall sconces. If you are in the area check this placeout. The prices are very reasonable, With 4 adults and 2 children the total was a little over $80. Read more
We had a wonderful visit for dinner. The chips and dips are great and my brother loved his marg. They were very accommodating to... my young niece and nephew. I will say that the kids plates are very big. We had a lot of leftovers for them. I've been here todining in many times and it's great but I do not recommend the carry out at least not on the fajitas. Overall a great place forCburg. Read more
