Portion size is meager/tiny by any standard. After spending $50+ per person wouldn't you expect to feel like you ate something?... Service is so-so, food tasted good but not enough. The menu does not have any vegan or vegetarian options, so after the mealwe asked the owner if they'd consider adding vegan/vegetarian items to the menu, she arrogantly responded "all my customers knowthey can order off the menu" We politely asked if she'd consider making this known online for the new customers , she said "Idon't advertise". I had a lovely time at Owen's Bistro! The food was pretty delightful and the ambiance of the restaurant was quite nice! I do,... however, have to say their service is okay. ???? Which is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. For food weordered: Appetizer: Ratatouille on sourdough ???? Entree: The Pumpkin Pork Potpie! ???? ???? Entree: Ribeye Steak w/ buttonmushrooms & truffle butter ???????????? Wine: 2017 Stags' Leap Cabernet I ordered a bottle of wine and wasn't given properwine service. The server just came over, opened the bottle, poured the wine and left. Didn't present the bottle or give the 1ozpour to taste before pouring the rest of the wine. Didnt really give us the time of day... I know it's details but the detailsmatter. I saw them do proper wine service & take their time to make conversation at another table, (Which happened to beCaucasian), so I know, they know how. It is definitely more of a Caucasian clientele establishment, take that as you will.???? I still had a lovely time and the food was good! First and foremost I want to point out that the only way to get into the restaurant is through reservations only. Therefore you... have to keep in mind that this is a restaurant that you would not go to for normal occasions. Is is definitely catered towardsmore special events and therefore the food is more upscale. Regardless, I believe that the quality of the food was utterlyfantastic. However I'm going to give the restaurant a rating of 4 stars because I believe that the pricing was slightly higherthan it should be. Fantastic overall though. Read more
We ate at the Secret Sammie right next door owned by Owen's Bistro. They are not always open you have to find and follow on... Instagram only. Amazing food!!!
