The restaurant is quaint and right on the water, with lots of windows to enjoy the view. The food was good & we especially... enjoyed the bacon-wrapped dates and bacon-wrapped scallops. We happened to arrive shortly before a major storm came through,which knocked out the power. Wait staff was very attentive, lighting candles, providing bread, water, and other drinksthroughout the approximately 30 - 40 minutes the power was out. My husband and I had a fabulous dinner at Etta?s. Our waitress Jessica as well as the hostess were both sweet, kind and so... accommodating. The crab duo was chock full of delicious crab and the scallops were deliciously flavorful. We enjoyed every bite!The view overlooking the water was a nice treat as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant as one of the ?fancier? dininglocations on the island. Read more

I would really prefer if the staff didn?t wear masks. It would make my dining experience much more enjoyable. First, it would be... so much easier to communicate and understand my server, and the poor things are sweating through them! It seems as though theycan barely breathe. I?m sure it?s hard to accommodate everyone, but the pandemic is over. Our food was lovely, but anything withcrab was priced through the roof! They also did not have any dipping sauces besides caesar and ketchup. The inside of therestaurant is pretty and well done. And the backside view is perfect. The manger (I assumed that?s who she was) was also verynice and sweet, which added a great touch to my dining experience. Read more

Etta's Channel Side Restaurant is a charming, beach themed restaurant that sits on the channel (hence the name). In prior... visists we have seen ponies in the marsh or watched a cormorant pluck an eel from out of the water. They have the very besthomemade hush puppies (I dont even like hush puppies but these are excellent) and the cesar salad I ordered had the freshestlettuce. The chair covers with the large buttons are so pretty and the place has such a cozy vibe. Read more

The best meal we had the week we were in town! Etta?s was an awesome meal and a great dining experience while on the island. ... Everyone from the hostess to our server Helen were very kind, gracious and attentive. The menu is on the small side, but theyhave daily specials and that means that everything is cooked to order and of the highest quality available. The interior andoutside seating area are clean and comfortable while offering a beautiful view of the waterfront especially at sunset. Dessertswere homemade and fantastic! Reservations are recommended and this place is worth checking out while in Chincoteague. Read more

"That was the seafood dinner I was wanting this whole trip" said my husband as he wiped his mouth clean and threw down his fork.... Outstanding meal from the flavorful and herbaceous clam chowder to the key lime pie finish.
