Crew of 3 patrons. We ordered fish n chips, and 2 large fried shrimp platters. The grease they used was clearly too hot bc the... fries were nicely browned but biting into them, they were not cooked in the middle. My fish and thier shrimp was cooked to thepoint that it was chewy. Which it shouldn't be. We're travelers so we won't be able to come back. Hopefully it was just a badday for the cook. Read more

This place is awesome!! Much better then the seafood we had up the street! We had the seafood platter and ended up going back... three more times for their oyster stew and cream of crab soup, so good, huge portions and great prices! Call ahead to order toavoid the wait. Read more

At first I was skeptical, because the lady at the front wasn?t overly friendly, but our server (Cory) was awesome and the food... was great?prices made it even better! He let us know it was going to be a delay for our food?which there was, but we wereenjoying the atmosphere. And hey, he warned us?we could?ve left. I appreciate they even give you a heads up. Cory the waiter wasamazing!!! So friendly! Read more

Stopped for lunch, sat and enjoyed the breeze on the outdoor deck. Ordered the crab bites basket and fish tacos, made with cod.... Food was good, service was great, but being outdoors can be a disadvantage; watch for drinks spilling or items flying away on awindy day. Read more

After researching seafood restaurants in the area we decided to give Captain Zack?s a try as it had good ratings. We placed our... order and was told the wait would be over an hour. The lady who took the order was friendly and very helpful. We didn?t mindwaiting a while and we took the opportunity to look at some of the local shops. After just under two hours we got a call thatour food was ready. We picked it up and went back to the house to eat it. When we went to eat 8 out of the two dozen clams wereunopened. As someone who has had calms many times in the past we knew that you shouldn?t eat the unopened ones after they?recooked. We called back to Captain Zack?s to let them know and see if they could do something about it and we were told to justcrack the unopened ones and eat them. The first unopened one was black and the second unopened one was raw. We didn?t feelcomfortable eating them after seeing the first two, so we threw them out. Very disappointed with the customer service afterreceiving our order and there was a problem, especially being it is take out only so there was no option to correct thesituation right when we picked up the order. The cook also would have known how many didn?t open when he put them in the to gocontainers and still decided to give them to us. Doubt we will go back again. Proceed with caution when getting clams to go! Read more

Went here on vacation because I was looking for a place to get a soft shell crab sandwich. It's wasn't amazing but wasn't... horrible either. The crab was a little overlooked and flavorless. We also got the crab balls. They were a lot of shredded meatand filler. Not any lump crab meat. The macaroni bites however were delicious. Not bad all said and done but would like to tryanother spot next time to see if I can get a better sandwich. Read more

My sister and I arrived at 12:20 for lunch. The wait was not excessive as some reviews have mentioned and even if it was the... food was totally worth it. The woman that took our order was super sweet, smiling and personable. We shared the seafood boatappetizer which we found innovative and delicious. We each ordered a crab cake sandwich and we both agree that these are thebest crab cakes we have ever had. It will be hard to order crab cakes anywhere else as these are incredible! Thanks for a greatmeal! Read more

We found this place on our last visit 5 years ago and have told so many people about it in the meantime. On our second visit... today we are every but as pleased as we were originally. If you like oysters, check out the oyster fritter...no lie it is aslarge as the box and the bun is comically small in comparison. The claim strips are very good as well. But the star of theshow was the crab cake that I tried today. Hands down the best crab cake I have ever had. Well seasoned, blue crab, and theyclaim to not use any fillers and I believe them...it was all crab all the way through. Drive up, order and plan on waiting foryour food to be cooked. Really no place to eat on premises so plan to take it back to wherever you are staying. But whateveryou do definitely stop here!!! Read more
