Wonderful place. Excellent food. Friendly folks. What more could you ask for? Love the decor as well, walls are covered with... nostalgic signs, someone really put a great deal of work into this place since it opened back in 1971!. Be sure and stop by ifyou're anywhere close by, I think you'll be glad you did. Read more
Charming restaurant and a great value! We got the combo plate (chicken and BBQ). Hushpuppies were huge and delicious, the potato... salad was some of the best I have had around town, and the onion rings were crispy and delicious. The BBQ and chicken were finebut not the stars of this place. The different BBQ sauces were fun and delicious! Great pulled pork and BBQ sauces. Decent ranch. The barbecue chicken had a great flavor. The sweet tea was good. The baked beans... were perfect. I have been a Gary's customer since 1995 and always love it! Great prices and even greater food. You won't be disappointed, but... take cash. They don't do cards. The ATM on premise is cheap if you forget. My bank doesn't double charge me for using it, but Ican't speak for yours. This place is always hopping, but food comes out quickly and the wait staff are a great bunch of gals.The food is consistently good and fresh. Burgers, BBQ, hot dogs, and a variety of sandwiches make this a favorite. By the way,the BBQ is the real thing. Call it Lexington style, Carolina, or whatever. What matters is how good it is.
