An old hotel was an interesting experience. Steeped with history. No elevator no front desk. Although we did get help for a few... things. The staff was great. We had a small party room. Read more

The pros: easy check-in (be sure to look in your spam folder for instructions; that's where we found our email); rooms are... actually quite nice; on-site management, while not 'present' later in the evening, was still very responsive by phone. Thecons: walls and windows are paper thin (not uncommon with old buildings) so be prepared to hear street noise and yourneighbours' every conversation; probably the worst shower I've ever had Read more

Century old building is well kept. The front desk is no longer staffed. Guests check themselves in over email. Once we got our... access code we had no problem getting to it room. Located in the city centre the hotel is within walking distance to restaurantsand shops. We find it convenient. Read more

Cute little hotel. Rooms were pretty clean and the manager was really helpful. I would recommend changing the mattresses as they... are pretty lumpy. Also maybe getting small fridges in the room could be helpful for long stays. Read more

We had a great experience here. The location is safe and the staff were awesome. The in-room TV / Roku system did not work and... we had some WiFi issues, but overall the room was tidy and well kept. Read more

This is a fun historical hotel with a cute lobby full of memorabilia, which we found extremely charming. Self check in process... is pretty seamless, and is good for anyone who wants reduced interaction during covid. There is no elevator, and the first setof stairs is quite narrow and blocked with a door on a tiny landing, so if you have a large suitcase, be careful. We stayed inthe Commoner's Room, so amenities were sparse, and the bathroom dated, but everything was clean and we had a little coffeemachine. Pillows were a hair lumpier than I'd like. One feedback would be to have the AC already on if the hotel knows guestsare checking in. We were there during the heat wave, and they left the AC off so it was sweltering. It may cost money, but Ithink the AC should be on in a room if the hotel knows there are guests checking in, especially because it took quite a longtime to come to life. We had some struggling AC units during our trip so we cranked this one thinking it wouldn't actually getthat cold. Waking up to 15 degrees was a shock! That would have been avoided if the AC was already on when we got there to takethe guesswork out. Overall, nice spot in the heart of Chilliwack, well priced, and has free parking. Read more

We had an overnight stay in this hotel before heading to Vancouver the next day. The self checked in was ok. I understand that... the building is old but They need to work harder on the over all cleanliness of their rooms. The room we were in smelled likeancient not royalty( as what the hotel?s name). The pillows smelled like dried drool! ???? I slept without using it. I feltdisgusted. They could have done some steam cleaning on the rugs especially the rugs on the stairs. It stinks. The worst part wasthe air conditioning, wasn?t working. It was freaking hot that day and when we arrived all we wanted was to be cooled off by theair condition. For the price we paid, I should say we deserved better. Read more

Lovely hotel but the hike up the stairs with luggage at midnight was a bit difficult -- my fault for not checking. They keep you... very well informed of the check in process (there is no open front desk) and everything went smoothly. No hair dryer in the roomand not enough toilet paper had been left, but staff members brought us both the next morning. From what I remember, the bed wascomfortable and we slept well. The price was extremely reasonable. It had no fridge but we found out the next day there was aguest room down the hall with fridge and microwave. Read more
