I have been looking for a good bbq place for a long time in the lower mainland. Been to all of the main places that serve... bbq. Bootleg BBQ is the best smoked meat in the lower mainland period. Was in Chilliwack for my daughter?s hockey tournament the weekend before the bad flooding. Bootleg showed up randomly in Google... Maps and it was just a few minutes from the rink we were at. I checked out the website and was intrigued, got in touch with theowner to ask some questions, and placed an order to bring home. Threw it in freezer and then forgot about it. A few months laterfound the vacupaks at the back of the freezer and decided we better eat them soon. Did the boil in bag method to reheat it.Opened the bags and had a little taste while portioning it out into plates for the fam. WOW! So incredibly good. Easily the bestBBQ I?ve had in Canada, and right up there with the best I?ve ever had. The brisket is particularly amazing, but don?t listen tome. I don?t want them to sell out and there be none left for me. It?s a 2hr plus roundtrip drive for me, but I?m alreadyplanning my next trip just so I can get more of this amazing BBQ. I didn't know what to expect, neither did my 15 guests. We were all shocked at the quality of the meat. Without sauce!! I mean... super tender and packed with flavor and spices. Super easy to make and heat up and we all were also shocked at how good it wasfor being heated in a pot on the stove. Definitely will be back until we move out of Chilliwack.
