The food is really delish. My 3 kids all got burgers and loved them. We got the large fries, and it was definitely large enough... to share. The cashier was really patient too, as it took forever for us to order and we had a long line behind us. I was kind ofembarrassed, but she was so kind. The only bummer was they charge 75 cents every time you swipe your card. I went back up toorder a shake, so I got charged twice for that. Also, I realized I wanted to get some ranch dressing, but they were going tocharge. I didn't want to have to swipe my card again with the with extra fee, so I just ate my sandwich dry. Totally awesome staff and great food--easily Chico's best burger! (Hey, they've even got the yearly awards to prove it.) While... known for having awesome food in general, locals frequent Nobby's to experience their signature fried "cheese skirt" of jack orcheddar deliciousness surrounding each beautifully crafted burger. This place can be extremely busy sometimes, but do not letthat deter or steer anyone away because they can knock out multiple tickets surprisingly fast. Also wanted to note that amid thecurrent economy with all its jacked up prices, this place has resisted falling in line with other restaurants' gnarly pricehikes & remains very reasonably affordable. So yeah, don't hesitate to drop in if you've got a craving for something spectacularfrom their ever-evolving menu. Read more
Without a doubt the best burger in town. Every once in a while, I have a craving for a burger and I'd heard that Nobby's was... the best. I didn't try it until today and the recommendations were justified. Their cheese skirt was excellent, the burger pattywas cooked just right (with a slight char on the exterior but juicy interior). I ordered mine with bacon and a lettuce wrap andboth were good, although I don't doubt the standard bun and without bacon would also be good. Even the other toppings (tomato,pickle, and onion) tasted fresh and good quality. There are cheaper and possibly faster options available, but there is noquestion that Nobby's has the best burger in town. I'd even rank it better than Five Guys if they opened up locally. EvenBurgers n' Brew is in the same price range and offers more "boutique" burgers, but this one was clearly my favorite. Read more

"Nobby's...home of the Famous Cheese Skirt". As much as I enjoy a cheese skirt, and a good burger, that's about it for this... eatery. My wife and I went for lunch on a Friday and found out to be pleasantly slow, so we ordered, sat down, and waited. Fromthe menu, we both chose the Nobby burger with cheese, an order of onion rings, and an order of deep-fried mushrooms, with 2 cansof Coke. After about 10 minutes our order was brought to our table, and we proceeded to take stock of what arrived. The burgerswere very good with the oversized cheese skirt... but it was the other items that were of discussion. #1... we received 6(six!!) onion rings on our order for $4.99. A paltry amount for the money spent. #2...a single side of Ranch dressing cost EXTRAto receive and dip our rings, which is usually a free accompaniment with onion rings anywhere. #3... the onion rings wereapparently fried in the SAME oil as the Jalepeno poppers, giving them a spicy kick. Not a bad thing, but my wife can't eatpeppers of any kind, so it was a little cross-contamination that caused an upset stomach for her. #4...the sodas are pricey percan, so be prepared to either ration your soda, or shell out extra for another drink. The BEST part of the meal, you ask!? TheCHEESE SKIRT, of course. Flavorful, cooked to perfection on the burger, and really the only reason to go. If Nobby's sold cheeseskirts alone... Great place to grab a quick bite. The PIC is their Sliced Sirloin Steak Burger with just grilled onions. It was delish, but so... are their other burgers, especially with a cheese skirt! Their fries were well cooked and even crispy. A+ all around! Read more
This was amazing! My wife had fond memories of Nobby?s from when she lived in Chico 20 years ago. Therefore on our way home from... Oregon she suggested we stop for dinner. After a long day of driving for 12 hours it was well worth the trip. Best burger I?vehad and the staff were very kind and welcoming. Now I understand, ?You have to try the cheese skirt.?
