Besides the lobby being absolutely FILTY, the jerk chicken was good. Mac n cheese so-so like microwave version. I would suggest... calling ahead, they were out of a lot of items on the menu on a Saturday. I won't be back however until the lobby is not sodirty makes me question the kitchen. The worst Caribbean food I have ever came across in my life!! My taste buds felt like they got jumped by a gang of salt trying... to eat this food.The greens were so gritty I felt like I was a kid a the beach with a mouth full of sand,yams tasted like theywere through in a pot and someone burned them and tried to throw vanilla extract in at the last minute. Mac and Cheese was dryand had all the yellow without the cheese. Food is good I ate from them once & been going back since. It?s just a few things I don?t like such as the rice, it should come... with the dinners not just be a side & the jerk Alfredo is good but I don?t like that it had little pieces of bones in it & was alittle watery but it actually tasted food. The jerk catfish is good I don?t think you should have to pay for bread when youorder that like most jerk restaurants bread comes with it but other than them little issues, I like this restaurant. Food was really good. Portions are filling, not to salty. I ordered a fee things, wanted to try everything. I got a jerk chicken... dinner w/ cabbage & rice + oxtail dinner w/ mac&cheese & candy yams + curry chicken but they didn't have any then I got a beefpatty and a side of jerk catfish. I had so much food I felt like I was @ a cook out. Try them out, doubt you will regret it. Ihave a new jerk spot now when I'm in the Chicago area. I like jerk 48 as well.
