Wonderful. Great music, great service, and a cozy joint. I can't recommend this spot more. My best friend, a regular, took us... back after 3+ years of living in LA, and the bartender (who is always there and amazing) REMEMBERED her. You don't get thatoften, these days. Read more

Bartender who works on the side with the stage was rude and the other side she was just slow. Took to long for our drinks to... come when there?s only 10 people and half has have their drink in hand. Read more

Love this place. Live band in the back and you can party in the front. Drinks not water down.

Bartender was rude and also has no idea how to make the most basic drinks. The music is so loud that the bartender couldn?t hear... us and we couldn?t hear him.. just stared at us like we were stupid for ordering the easiest drink. Drinks were strong butotherwise not worth the annoyance of dealing with the bartender Read more

We visited this spot before El Ideas and had so much fun we headed back after dinner. The bartender was so kind and full of... energy she would light up any room! Tony the owner was celebrating his 85th birthday week and was the life of the party. If youwant a strong drink and a great time visit this place. Read more

It's somewhat of a dive bar, but with mostly a soul vibe. There's a back room with pics and encased records of old Blues and... Soul music, some of which the owner participated in. Weekly they have a band or two play. Good people, an older crowd, so it'spretty relaxed, no kids trying to prove themselves, so never seen any issues. (Don't think the staff would put up with thateither). The juke box is free, loaded with classic soul and blues and some more obscure but interesting music, but....no menuto select. :) So the fun part is keying in random numbers , and when you find an album you like, try to write it down so youcan play it next time too. Plus they host Toys for Tots and turn into a Biker bar once a year, since they are on Western Aveparade route. Interesting and fun place. Read more
