Had the loveliest experience at Volo Wine Bar in Roscoe Village! My friend and I were seated at one of the cabanas in the back... patio area (very romantic!!) and had a lovely view of the restaurant, lights, and a gorgeous little fountain surrounded byflowers. We ordered spritzes to start, and they were delicious! We also ordered unique and lovely glasses of wine…I can’tremember the last time I saw orange wine on a menu, and it is one of my favs! For food, we ordered olives to start, and got thevegan cauliflower/chickpea entree and the salmon. Both were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Our server was alsoso lovely and helpful, and the owner even came by to greet us and tell us about the history of the restaurant. 10/10, highlyrecommend this neighborhood gem! :) Read more
This is the spot for a beautiful and romantic date night! So many different wine options along with an extensive selections of... sharable plates, delicious seafood and exquisite choice of proteins. We also loved the decadent flourless chocolate cake with alight zinfandel to end the evening. Also, did I mention the ambience of this place?! Volo is a great cozy spot, loved the patio and the small plates. It’s such a vibe, had great service and everything I ordered... was amazing, happy hour had some great drink and food specials. Volo Restaurant and Wine Bar is my new FAVORITE wine spot. The cabanas are so cute and the patio is cozy. I love the ambiance... with the little waterfalls, plants, and torches. The wine was some of the best I've ever had and so were the small plates to gowith it. Also - their salted caramel chocolate mousse is to die for. Their happy hour specials are great. I really enjoyed my time here. The cabana style seating is a nice change of pace from other restaurants. The drinks for a great;... I loved the Aperol Spritz. They also have a great happy hour. I would however love to see more menu options for the dinner menu. Read more
My fiancé and I went with our puppy Theo to check out their dog friendly patio. We were seated and served quickly (great... service) since we arrived in time for their every day happy hour. My fiancé ordered their $6 happy hour wine deal. I don’tdrink anymore so I was very pleasantly surprised to see they have a mocktail menu! I ordered their ginger peach mocktail and Iloved how strongly ginger it was, so refreshing for a warm summer day! We ordered an artisanal cheese plate to accompany ourdrinks. The cheese plate came with 4 cheeses (Manchego, Grana Padano, Humboldt Fog, and Camembert), some crackers and thisdelicious in house made cherry jam which I wanted a whole jar to bring home! We also ordered and shared the beef tenderloin andthe duck confit. The tenderloin was cooked exactly as asked to a medium and it was very soft and juicy. The duck confit wasfalling off the bone. It was so flavorful with a lightly crisp skin, so very delicious! We finished our meal with the saltedcaramel chocolate mousse that was rich thick and creamy. We can’t wait to go again!
