This was the perfect place to bring our bachelorette who is marrying into an Italian family. The food was amazing and the staff... were truly so accommodating when I had an issue with our reservation. Love the environment and good service. Calamari was only okay. Main courses were good, but I was a little disappointed given the... reputation led me to believe they?d be great (so I am being a little more critical). I also found the menu to be a bit limited.Good espresso martini. The dessert was the highlight for me. I?ve had a lot of tiramisu in my day but I think this is the bestI?ve ever had, which is why I?m giving it four stars and not three. Italian restaurants all thru Chicago but this one that the late Anthony Bourdain really loved. Come see for yourself what the... hype is about. The grilled calamari was a lovely presentation unlike any I?ve had before. The scallops were delightful andentirely too in expensive for what you get. Such a great value. We stopped here for a late dinner after attending a Second City show. The pasta is truly amazing, the atmosphere is lively, and... warm; all great staff. Feels like one big neighborhood gathering. Went for a quite enjoyable mid-afternoon birthday lunch. Servers were very attentive and catered to our every request. I had the... Mediterranean sea bass which was delicious and my guest had the white fish entree which was equally appealing and quite popularmenu item.
