I have been patronizing this establishment for over 20 years after being introduced to it by a friend , starting from the older... location. The last 2 visits including today's visit have been disappointing ???? My favorite is and has been the #14 Combinationwith potatoes and Lebaneese salad as my preferred side. The dressing for the salad was was watered down which takes away fromthe character of the salad, usually there are large chunks of tomatoes and cucumber ( basically this was a bowl of lettuce withskimpy pieces of each (see picture). The dinner itself was good but something was missing the squash medley was not seasoned andthe potatoes were soft and lacked the crunchy and bit of lemon squeeze ( they were just fried potatoes....... very blah. Thereis only one waitress.....the same lady that has been there for years everytime I come. I understand she is the only one takingorders and serving which makes her busy but she forgot my drink request after I asked and I still never received it. We onlyrecieved 3 silverware settings and there were 4 of us dining. There were alot of inconsistencies in the service and food thatwere annoying and plain disturbing. IT IS JUST NOT THE SAME NILE I USED TO LOVE...... AND SADLY NOT FOR THE BETTER !!!! Read more

Highly, highly, highly recommend this establishment! Been eating here for at least 10 years even before they moved to the... current location. Tried my first shcwarma here and it's now my personal standard when it comes to such dishes. The portions havealways been generous even on small orders. Sometimes have limited myself to purchasing just hummus with pita, and that alone hasbeen amazing. Read more

Dining at The Nile of Hyde Park was a pleasant experience. The service was great. The atmosphere was spacious yet quaint. The... authentic middle eastern food was scrumptous! I enjoyed the Jerusalem Salad and the combination platter of Shish Kabob Beef & Shish Tabuk (marinated chicken) served with sauteed vegetables and Middle Eastern potatoes. I would certainly dine here again. Read more

Food was excellent, although they needed more staff. Lots of people but only one waitstaff. Had to wait a bit for our food but... it was well worth it. Prices are affordable. Great location with plenty of street parking. Read more

We had chicken schwarma and it was delicious. The saffron rice was heavenly. Even the vegetables had a unique seasoning. Not... just steamed plain. But the place was dirty and dingy. The bathrooms were dirty and didn?t work. The waitress was constantlychecking to see if we had put down our credit cards and wouldn?t let us sit and visit. Read more

The Nile of Hyde Park is Mediterranean as fresh as can be outside the Middle East. The space feels like a local tavern without... all the barstools. Inviting, open area, snag a seat near the front windows for best atmosphere. Service is quick, but notrushed. Menu is quite diverse with Shawarma, Wraps and a wide range of Appetizers like Grape leaves, Hummus, Tsatziki, cheeseand olives... I tried the baba ganoush and the Steak Pita (roasted flank steak) and was not disappointed in the amount of fooddelivered. There was a steady lunch crowd, which they had only one server on hand so had to wait a little extra each time forwater refills and check. Otherwise, I'm sure at their peak time The Nile of Hyde Park is well staffed to handle traffic.Definitely will return and looking forward to trying their Chicken Shawarma. Read more

I got two sandwiches: shish kebab and kifta kebab as takeout order. The wait only took 10 minutes and the food came out smelling... amazing. I love that it?s filling and delicious. Personally i prefer the kifta kebab. Its perfect for quick meal near campus andreasonably price for hyde park. The sandwich comes with inhouse chips but it would be great if i can sub it for a drink, whichmight be a better pairing. Would definitively come back and try more items! Read more
