Everything was fantastic! From the atmosphere, (very fancy), the service, and the food! The food is very pricey, but it makes up... for it because the quality and taste of the food is phenomenal! Went for lunch. Quality food, much better than some of the highly rated restaurants in town. Ingredients are great, all good... tastes delicious. The raspberry mousse dessert impressed me, very refreshing for the summer! Atmosphere beats most other placesfor a relaxing dine out. Read more
OHMMMMGEHHHHHH!!!!! This place is to die for?!!! I?m so glad my honey wanted to have breakfast in The Lobby!! Yessssssss, we... stayed with them and finally decided to dine with them in The Lobby for breakfast!! The whole place is just beautiful, and whenI say beautiful, I mean BEAUTIFUL!!!! From when we got here, to checking in, and to dining with them. We had breakfast withthem Saturday May 14, 2022. We got seated by a window table and was offered coffee right away. Our waiter was very attentive andshowed cared for my #jbabes food allergies. He did continue to water and coffee us down while we waited for our breakfast whichcame out right in time. My #jbabe had The Peninsula Breakfast and I had The Chinese Breakfast. They were both so amazing that wehad it again the very next morning but in our room this time. Balls to the Walls Yalls, this 5?? diamond hotel is CHICAGO!!!!!???????????? It is Chicago and The Peninsula, so expect the unexpected from them!!! The food is what one would expect being in one of the top 5 star hotels in the country. We had the best avocado toast I have... ever had as well as a lobster benedict with truffle shavings on a croissant that was out of this world. It was so lovely just toenjoy the decor, very art deco with chandeliers, high ceilings, silver sconces, beautiful pillars, marble and fresh giant flowerbouquets. Read more
First timers at The Lobby and will definitely be back. We visited after checking out the Museum of Contemporary Art of Chicago.... The atmosphere was a great mental break from the crowds and long lines after museums and shopping at the magnificent mile. Iencourage you to check it out! Read more
Elegant hotel and dining experience. For breakfast, they open the ceiling high curtains periodically throughout the mornings as... the sun rises. I thought that was a mindful touch. This is so the sun is not beaming on the guests through the windows. Themenu is à la carte. Classic American breakfast dishes are available. The staff is professional and pleasant. I was with myfamily for morning breakfast. The seating is nicely spaced from other tables. Nice cloth table covers. Clean utensils anddishware. The food was great. Nicely presented. The views outside are excellent. Big ceiling high windows. There is perfumestore across the hall. And the concierge is right outside the threshold of the dining hall. Not a lot of noise surprisingly eventhough guests are checking in and out. Overall great experience, and made me leave with a sense of wanting to hold my weddingreception there. It was that nice!
