Personally not too familiar with fine dining but this place is nice. The food is not my favorite combination of flavors in... general but the salmon was tender and the roasted veggies were my favorite. Staff were attentive. Read more

This restaurant on the second floor of the Marriott made for a great place as part of a celebratory anniversary weekend. We... made reservations for a Sunday Breakfast On-Line, and at arrival made reference to our special weekend in Chicago and had usimmediately seated. The service and food was great while nice sized portions. The only possible con was we thought they had abrunch but it started later in the morning, however all the items were available to be ordered. Thank you and was worth thewalk from another hotel and glad we did not stop at the five other restaurants on the way to this hotel. It looks like a greatspot for lunch and dinner. Read more

My birthday April 24, 2022 I went to Florentine as I was staying at JW Marriott. I was s little down, my mom passed in November... and it was my first birthday without her. I go to Florentine to get a glass of wine and something to simple to eat. I asked fora red wine and it went a little something like this. I am no stranger to fine dining however, the bartender took advantageclearly. I should have just purchased the entire bottle.???? Read more

The Florentine is our favorite place for happy hour in the loop. We've tried others and always end up back here - every weekday... from 4-6 they have $5 pizza, $8 prosecco and $5 beers. When we went back this week we discovered they no longer have any beer ondraft, which is a huge bummer. But the service is good and the ambiance is very cozy and romantic. The hotel itself is alsosuper nice. Definitely recommend for an affordable date night!! Read more

The Florentine in Chicago is a must try. Located in the JW Marriott Downtown. The beet salad was fresh and delicious. Decided... to try the fish special of the day which was a white fish with a puttanesca sauce. A great choice for lunch as it was light andfull of flavor. Read more

My friend and I went during our lunch hour after seeing a sign outside and hoping we would be able to get quicker service during... our lunch hour. The place was full and we ordered pretty quickly. The food took a while but was good. We ordered the chickenParmesan and Cobb salad with chicken. Prices were reasonable for a downtown fancy restaurant. Giving this only 3 stars becausethe service wasn’t the quickest. Only one or two servers for all of the tables in the restaurant and it took forever to getour check paid and a to-go dessert I ordered for my friend for her birthday. Our server seemed like he was running around quitea bit, but was also talking to other workers rather a lot. I ended up having to go to the server’s register to catch someoneand pay my bill. Will probably not go here for lunch again but dinner might be good to try. Read more
