Hands down the best fish monger in Chicago. You know how I know? Because the Fish Guy will not stock items that are not in... season. How did I live in Chicago for so many years without knowing about this place? Everything I've purchased from them has been high... quality--scallops, clams, mussels, fish, lobsters, oysters. I am very happy to have found this place. Our neighborhood supermarkets do not have good fish or seafood. Then I saw this place... and thought to give it a try. It didn't disappoint. I got amazing scallops, amazing shrimp, and hake fish. I thought it was abit expensive but the quality totally justified the price. The dinner I cooked with what I bought here was superb. You couldtaste the quality. The lady at the counter also said that they have some sashimi grade fish, so I can't wait to make sushi.Let's keep this place in business Irving Park! Read more
This is a great place to get extremely good quality seafood. The prices reflect this quality, but they always run different... sales. They also change up their selections often so each visit will offer you some interesting opportunities. They also servea lunch menu of you can make it in during the lunch hours. Read more
Hands down some of the best oysters I've ever had! Also had their lobster roll which was great, just wish they served it warm.... Will be back....great selection of sushi grade fish and mollusks. It is BYOB, but hours are very limited and they only servelunch. Read more
Beautiful and fresh but limited fish options to purchase in the market. More expensive than a grocery store but the quality is... significantly higher so it's not worth comparing. Cafe is good, not great. Lobster roll is FUUUUUUULL of delicious and hugelobster chunks! Read more
