The food was delicious and cooked perfect. Only downside, the waiter was really in a rush. We didn't finish the main course and... got asked for dessert. When we were eating dessert we got the check already. Then we still had some wine in our bottle and wegot asked three time if we went to sit at the bar. We had a wonderful time at the Firehouse. We were celebrating our anniversary. It was very nice of the Chicago Firehouse to... decorate our table and gave us each a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. We intended to order the chicken. but they wereout. It turned out out to be a blessing in disguise. We both ordered the meatloaf. It was devine! The CFH Meatloaf is madewith prime beef and you can tell. No need for a knife at all! Simply outstanding. From the warm greetings by the hosts at the front door, to the restaurant manager, everyone provided... fantastic service. Our waiter Noel gave us some great recommendations regarding our appetizer and dessert. We ordered theFirehouse Executive Dinner for Two which provided several courses including dessert and enjoyed every bit of it! The buildingitself is beautiful. It is very much a restaurant but you clearly see the history of the Firehouse. This restaurant has beenadded to my list of places to visit again.
