After coming from the Lady GaGa concert we saw this small bar open. So we decided to come in for a quick bite. Well let me tell... you the service and food did not disappoint. Eric our server was very attentive and assisted my table with every need. WhileAlejandro was refilling our water and kept cleaning the table. After asking for the manager, Tiffany came and she was verypolite and amazing. Just an overall great experience overall. Will defiantly recommend and come back for more. Read more
Killer neighborhood spot! Rolled through for brunch recently and the chicken and biscuits were spectacular. Also can?t get... enough of their cheese curds. Definitely a low-key vibe, live music often on the weekends. Makes for a relaxed yet funatmosphere to grab drinks with fiends O-H! Read more
Ordered UberEATS, Google business profile says it is "a little busy." Maybe this doesn't take into consideration online orders... or 3rd party delivery orders? Either way, received half my food. My UberEATS driver asked if this was the whole order becausethe receipt on the bag says 2 of 2. Was told yes, that's all of it. Ordered a pesto turkey sandwich, two cups of tomato bisquesoup, an order of chicken tenders, and a can of diet coke. Received the sandwich and one cup of soup as well as a can oforiginal coke. Not a great first impression. Haven't dined in here before but maybe that's what it would take to get my wholeorder. EDIT: I emailed management after I received the reply to this review. I expressed my frustrations with my exceptionallybad luck when ordering food and receiving incorrect/partial orders. There was no mention about how I would obtain a gift card touse at the restaurant. Just that I could call in an order for pickup at the bar or order online via the website. I was imaginingthat I would give a mailing address or schedule a time to come in to pick up a gift card. I feel that if I were to walk in,state that I wrote a bad review, and would like to order a comped meal, that there would be a chance my food could be tamperedwith. I believe I went through this process pretty reasonably and the fact that I would have to bring my bad review to thestaff's attention when visiting only opens the door to that possibility. I'm not saying that this is likely at the Butcher'sTap, just that as a consumer this is something I need to remain conscious of. One other thing to mention - the reply to myreview says that this mistake was most likely due to my UberEATS driver being in such a hurry that she grabbed one bag andimmediately left, just so she could get to her next order. The beer selection here is always great with a wide variety of options on tap. The problem is that with that size of selection,... you need to keep the beer fresh- several of our beers tasted flat and old. The food is really what led to a poor review herethough. We ordered an appetizer of their fried pickles and they were room temperature, over salted and seem like they must havebeen setting out for far too long before being served. The flatbread pizza was also undercooked. Okay, SO pleasantly surprised. We wandered in here after being turned away from a few of the ?trendy? Southport spots on a... Monday night. The patio was open and we grabbed a couple beers. Our server was actually awesome, giving us recommendations andsomehow having a sixth sense as to when we needed him. I *think* from the receipt that his name was Alejandro? After round 2,we realized it was $4 all drafts. What?!?!?!?! I didn?t think this existed in Chicago anymore. We of course ordered a thirdround and some tenders and fries. The food here is really kind of the star of the shelf for somebody that's not in Ohio buckeye fan anyway... The southern fried... chicken sandwich ( not original) is definitely top five in the city hop for the spicy mayo on the side. The cheese curds areabsolutely top two in the city. The chicken tenders looked amazing I would say probably definitely top five in the city... Thisis some pretty high numbers for a bar with a ton of taps good selections of beer and actually pretty comfortable atmosphere.Will definitely be back.
