Not bad - the food is good, and while it is a bit pricey for a counter-serve place, my food was a good portion size. I got the... chicken tenders ($12); it came with around 5 thick tenders, a slice of bread (the bread wasn't my favorite - a bit tough nearthe edges) and a few pickles with their house sauce. So plenty for dinner, even without fries or a side, for a young hungryguy. The classic heat is actually spicy, and the chicken comes out piping hot, so you'll probably want a glass of water. Outdoor seating is a nice feature, though it is a crowded street, and the indoor ambiance is nice enough, though it seemed emptyfor a Saturday night. My food was ready in around 10 minutes, so overall a good place for a quick bite that's cheaper than themore upscale sit-down restaurants elsewhere on Armitage and Halsted. Read more

I really wanted to love this place, but at the price I just can?t justify it. They price themselves as the best fried chicken... sandwich in Chicago, and I think they?re close. But I?d still say it wasn?t perfect. The chicken itself was very crispy andquite juicy, but I?d really like to see a sweeter coleslaw to balance out the heat, I think it?d go a long way. Very friendly staff. The food was so fresh and had the perfect amount of sauce. The chicken was very juicy and crispy. Nicely... clean on the inside too which is always a plus! We got the hot chicken sandwich and the hot chicken strips. However, themacaroni was terrible. I'll def go again! Read more
I had been seeing the Facebook advertisement. I wanted to check them out. I ordered the hot chicken sandwich. It wasn't what I... expected. The chicken was kind of thick and it has a fleshy taste, not sure if it was fully cooked but my taste buds didn'tagree. The sandwich by itself was $14.49 that was taxes and a service fee. Not bad, not great. None of the staff were masked (during Sept 2021mask mandate) which is always a red flag both for health and... safety standards but also for what businesses you want to support socially/politically. But the person working register wassuper nice and inviting so it seemed chill (and it was). The highlight was certainly the person working reg/customer relations.He was super sweet and was extremely helpful considering he was the only person working FOH. The sandwich was OK the bun wassuper dry but the pickles were pretty bomb. The chicken was borderline dry, but was seasoned super well and was fried toperfection so overall not bad. The issue arose later when me and the person who ate with me ended up have pretty intensestomach pains and other issues related to the food potentially not have been safe to eat. Overall will definitely give the spotanother shot but maybe a couple weeks down the road. Read more
We stopped here for lunch and had a great experience. We both got the classic chicken sandwich and split the Mac. The sandwich... was piping hot when it was brought to our table and we liked the spice blend that had a hint of heat. The bread and butterpickles were "chef's kiss" and the slaw was fresh and crunchy with a great sweet flavor. The chicken was tender and thick andnot overcooked. We liked that it wasn't overly breaded but still had a nice crisp on the outside. The Mac wasn't traditional butwe thought it was excellent! Well seasoned and ultra creamy, not dry at all.
