Black owned, period! But great food and great service! The vegan Philly is absolutely delicious!
The food is good but the service is horrible. I blame the long wait times on the owner of this business. The owner has two young... women working to fill walk up and online orders and they struggle to keep up. It's obvious they need extra help. I placed myorder at least 25 minutes before I went to pick it up and it was not ready. I then had to wait 15 more minutes for them to getto my order. The whole point of pick up is you should not have to wait too long if you give them enough time to fix your orderand my order was a small order. It seems like we always have bad service in our(Black) neighborhoods and we have to do better.The owner needs to do better and hire more employees to work during prime hours when there are a lot of orders to fill. I never really share a review, but this sandwich was so HORRIBLE that I couldn?t risk another person experiencing the torture I... just went through. I ordered a chicken Philly. The bread was stale (hard and tough even with grilling it) the chicken was dry,overcooked and tasteless. There was like one green pepper and five pieces of onion and to top it off. AMERICAN CHEESE. A Phillycheese sandwich doesn?t use American cheese. The fries were ok but that mild sauce, they can keep it. More like Sweet sauce. Thelemonade (really Kool-aid) was ok but it needs to be advertised as just that?Kool-aid. I really need this wrong to be righted. Read more
Update below... I went to the location and ordered the philly chicken sandwich with double meat, only cheese, grilled onions and... mayonnaise. It was good. Fries and a drink came with it. For $14.00. I just wish they used mozzarella cheese or provolonecheese. I don't like American cheese on Philly chicken sandwiches. Update... I'm giving them a 1 star now. Since my first orderI've placed two more orders through DoorDash, same order. My 1st order I got a Kool aid drink with my order as you can seeabove. My last two orders through DoorDash I did not receive a drink. I tried calling the restaurant on several occasions toverify if maybe a mistake was made. Taste Bud never answers their phone. I even sent a message on their Facebook page. And noone ever replied. I don't like that the communication is bad. Not good business. Read more
Haven't had it in a while was still great
My chicken Philly was great, but my wife said her steak Philly was very dry, hard bread, and no seasoning. It's very... disappointing, when we barely eat out anymore. So paying for a dry sandwich is irritating. Then they have 2 workers helping 20customers...that's too much on the employees. Read more
I'm from Grand Rapids but have a lot of family in Chicago. Taste Bud was highly recommended to me and they did not disappoint! I... got the jerk Philly cheese steak and it was perfection! Next time I'm in town I am heading back to try the jerk chicken Philly.The sauce on the fries is amazing as well. Highly recommend, great customer service, reasonably priced and love that you can seethem make your food fresh. Read more
My co-worker is from Chicago and she took me here for lunch yesterday. Amazing Philly Cheese Steaks. The fries are hand cut... fresh to order and are covered in some sort of delicious tangy BBQ sauce. The meat on the sandwich was nice and hot and just theright amount of cheese.
