This was some of the very best plain cheese pizza I?d ever had in my mouth. This was authentic which was what I told Frank the... expo/register myself and my friend were after! Boy did we ever get the true to life goods! Frank gave us the biz. Informing usof the significance of Harlem Ave as a divider of the city from the suburbs. It was an amazing experience. We dined in and theyplayed some music for us while we were there enjoying the delicious food. We (my friend and I) were on excursion to the SummitPark District which is the first town outside of Chicago proper. Stopped in at Stunod?s last night after a long work day for a sit-in pizza with my brother and a friend. The place was... incredibly comfortable and inviting to eat in. We were able to sit back and relax, and talk comfortably while our pizza wasbeing made. Austin and the team were awesome and very accommodating. The pizza itself was delicious. Cooked to perfection. Why can't I leave 8 stars? You only let me give 5? What can I say that hasn't been said in the many reviews that have been left... about this fantastic neighborhood establishment. It is hard to believe that it has only been around for just 2 years. In thattime, Frank and Austin have put together a place with local pride, casual eclectic charm, and a pleasant atmosphere. Where elsecan you relax and enjoy a great meal, while listening to some favorite tunes. As for their pizza, it got me at their sauce. Itwas not too sweet or too bland, with the just the right amount of spices. The sausage stood alone. The Chicago size chunks hadlots of flavor without being too spicy or greasy. The vegetables were cut large, keeping them from drying out. When my wife andkids don't have to add anything like parmesan cheese, oregano etc. to the pie, you know it's good!!! While savoring every biteof their wonderful pizza, I noticed how many people were neighborhood regulars. Looking for family owned fresh pizza in the 63rd Street neighborhood? Order from Stunod's Pizzeria & Buddy's Italian Ice. Fresh... ingredients and a super foldable New York Style crust. Space is not fancy, family friendly and the brothers very down toearth. We ordered the "Christine Style" veggie pizza and a "Deep-ish" Chicago weather. IMO - Don't waste your order on thereinvented deep dish, just order another thin crust pizza... our hands down favorite in taste and texture. Wings are wellcooked, just a tad bit naked and drizzled with sauce. The side of ranch saved the day. Definitely will order again and lookforward to trying their Italian Ice. Read more
