I had made the long trek to what I thought would be the perfect Starbucks. I mean, located in DePaul university, an obvious... syllogism would have to be: all colleges are pretentious. This Starbucks is located in a college. So this Starbucks must betotally pretentious. Okay, well, the logic isn?t totally flawed. Anything branded with a Starbucks logo automatically is up awrung on the global pretentious scale. But: to my dismay, there was a homeless women, evidently going through a midlife crises;excreting an offensive odor throughout the shop. It is my belief that this sent away many visitors who would have otherwisestayed to do their work? include myself. Besides for that disgraceful incident, this Starbucks is centrally located near manyshops and museums, including the famed art institute of Chicago. Needless to say, I am not ?star?struck in the least . Read more

Barista refused to make my dark roast pour over no matter what! Ordered good for my daughter and asked to use points but still... charged my card. Very unpleasant attitude and poor service! I shall never be there again! 1st and last time! Read more

Great location nestled in the heart of Downtown Chicago. Not as busy as the State Street location, so it's a bit cozier. The... staff is quite helpful, and they have personality! The move the line quickly, without making you feel rushed. This location hasa huge homeless customer base, so be prepared to harass for a cup of coffee. I offered to get one a cup at 7 Eleven, however, they refused. Living in gentrified Chicago must have given them an expensive taste. (Better take this 99¢coffee?????). Despite the homeless population, the establishment is very tidy and smells fresh. This is the flip side of thehomeless epidemic, and where this Starbucks® really shines. Instead of pushing them out, welcome them, understanding theirsituation. They keep the bathroom stocked with ???? toilet paper and soap. Also, the less fortunate patron know that most otherplaces would kick them out, so they understand it behooves you behave accordingly. So with their wonderful staff and marvelouslocation, this Starbucks is a hidden gem! Read more
