This Stan's Donuts & Coffee sits on my run route headed downtown Chicago. Every time I run past it, I am always tempted to say... the hell with the run and just go and have a donut instead. If I ended up doing that then I would have had to walk back towardsthe starting point of my run as a result of the indulgence. I knew that at some point I would give in and visit this locationwhether it be during or post completion of a run because it always catches my eye. While looking at their menu via Yelp, Inoted that they had a plant-based sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich which built that interest to visit post completion of myrun. So, via Yelp, I ordered their Plant-Based Sausage, Egg & Cheese Stanwich w/ a Iced Tea (Black Tea). I smirked prior topicking my order up while looking at the donuts because I knew that I was not leaving without purchasing one. If I were anemoji, I would have definitely been the emoji with hearts in replace of my eyes because those donuts had my interest. I ended upgetting the Vegan Chocolate Donut because it is vegan, and the fact that I couldn't recall ever having vegan chocolate. ThePlant-Based Sausage, Egg & Cheese Stanwich was sloppy! Or at least the egg portion of it, but overall, it was delicious! Nowthat I have discovered that Stan's has a plant-based sandwich option I am quite positive I will visit either of its locations inthe city of Chicago for it again. And as for the Vegan Chocolate Donut, I had the biggest smirk on my face after taking eachenjoyable bite of it. I had a pleasant ordering experience at this Stan's Donuts & Coffee location. Quality donuts. Friendly staff. Like everything else, very pricey. I was there at 10:30am on a Saturday and selection was... minimal. First timer and the product was good, but for donuts ???? I will have to pass on cost. $18 for 5 donuts. Read more
The short hispanic girl with curly-ish hair with the red streak came in from the back, saw me, didn’t say anything and then... returned to the back. No one at register for a long time (about 10 minutes). The only reason someone came out was because Iwalked into the back to get them and then he (Nelson) was irritated and said he had been in the bathroom.
