Loved playing Sylvies On 11/22/19. Sound person rocked.
Excellent bands, billiards darts and atmosphere. The woman carding you at the door makes the icing on the cake.
Good venue to see live music. All kinds of music seem to come through here. Good drinks and great staff. Sit and chat with... Sylvie when you can for some hilarious stories. Between the brown line and the damien bus route. Read more

Band playing at 11:45, sound man says two more songs, band says huh? We have 10 more songs. The place had about 40 people there... drinking and watching band. Sound man stops them at midnight, everyone goes home. Crappy end to a great night. Read more
My husband and his band played here. They are from Milwaukee and have played here once before. Both times Silvie's has not paid... them the amount they are due. This past time I had at least 15 of my friends and family come at $10 a person. The band did noteven get half of the door sales. It is disappointing that a well known Chicago venue like this treated a band so poorly, notonly once but twice. Needless to say we won't be coming here again. On a different note, the bar is really rundown and tiredlooking. In need of lots of updating and upgrading. The staff were not friendly or helpful before or after the incident. Waytoo overpriced alcohol for what you end up getting. I would definitely steer bands Chicago based or not in another direction. Read more
First of all let me start out by saying what a gem Silvie's Lounge is, this is the premier music venue for the North Side of... Chicago. My band and I have played Silvie's Lounge numerous amounts of times over the years, and we have always been treatedfairly, and always had a good time, compared to various other music venues around the city. Silvie is so nice, and thebartender, she keeps the drinks flowing all night long! Load in, load out is a breeze, ample stage with riser. First class allthe way, keep up the good work Silvie's Lounge. It's a pretty typical Chicago bar. My friends and I had a nice time. Enjoyed the band, etc. However, they must have been having... some kind of plumbing problems, because the whole place smelled like a sewer. I got used to it after a while. But it was kind ofoverwhelming when I first walked in. Hopefully they can fix it. Read more
