Prices do not match online prices. They are vastly more expensive and for the cost I would have expected some Fresh food not... refried frozen food. I ordered the walleye and it was refried frozen food and it was $11.50 per Half pound. They?re split overprice for refried frozen food. They took the frozen fish and threw it in a fryer for a crispy crust which was over fried. I willnever go there again. Sad that they overhyped themselves. The fried okra was good but it was almost $10 a pound. I think theyare price gouging us. Why don?t they update their online prices? Probably because no one will go there at the prices they arecharging really in the restaurant itself. They are also confusing their online identity with the shrimp shack down south. The food is ahh. I was disappointed with the cost of the food, I opt out of eating there, seeing the dedication employees in... their field of work. I found them(the employees) to take great pride and the food they're preparing; giving shrimp shack a fivestar rating would be a sorry mistake, furthermore had the employees not been so dedicated.And sought out better opportunities:for their development, and greater growth in their career, given that circumstance. Simple and delicious deep fried fish and seafood is sold by the half pound and the pound only. The coleslaw is sold the same way... half pound and pound only. I'm not even sure there's another side dish to be had. Maybe they have fries. They do have aboutseven beers that you can choose from. Food is served on wax paper sheets in a paper boat. It's not cheap, but the fish andshrimp are very good. The shrimp are very large. The perch may be a lake Perch, but they are battered and deep fried;something I had not experienced until this restaurant. My favorite is lake Perch done as it is done in Northwest Indiana, whichis very lightly floured and browned in butter. Read more
I?ve been coming here for years, they have the best seafood In Chicago. The jumbo seasoned shrimps are bomb, the fried clam... strips are deliciousness?. The frog legs are like butter baby melts in your mouth!!!! The gator bites are awesome too?.Seriously try it all especially the calamari. Read more
