What I like the most about this place is the price but thats not to overshadow the delicious fusion of latin and asian flavors. ... The mexi phô is very well done. The broth is smokey and spicy with soft pork chunks slow cooked in traditional latin spices. You have to try the bacos (bao), its a fantastic melding of flavors. The slow stewed ropa vieja is nicely contrasted with thetart fermented kimchi. The panang chicken curry is very good also. But my favorite was the duck with plum aoli. Reminded meof traditional mu-shoo style duck in plum sauce. Definitely will be back!! This is a solid 4.5 stars!! Read more

This place was straight up yummy. Me and my boyfriend both got the Puerta Rican rice bowls. His was vegan and mine was with the... fried shrimp. We also got a side of their fries and I got the shrimp po mi sandwich and he got the tostones. Everything wasdelicious and I can't wait to go back to try more of their menu items. Read more

Nice spot. I'm normally not a fan of fusion, but this place was great. I had the Asian paella with egg, which was pretty good... and also quite large. The service was fast and courteous. I wish they used glass or ceramic instead of plastic cups and bowls, though. Read more

The food is alright, if a little overpriced for the serving sizes. Also served very quickly. However, they do a bad job of... packing carry out orders. One time, I ordered a sandwich with sauce on the side and was just given dry bread with dry meatthrown on top. No sauce in the bag. Inedible. I'd go more often if messed up orders weren't a frequent occurrence. Read more

I really liked the menu variety as it relates to both flavor & price. I was greeted when I walked in. I received clear menu... explanations & suggestions. My food came out quickly & I was offered a complementary water cup. I ordered the curry sweet potatofries, picadillo egg rolls, guajillo shrimp, & five spice duck. I?d order every thing again besides the fries. They were asdescribed but I personally just wasn?t a fan. Overall great experience though! Read more

As I watched an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, Guy visited Saucy Porka. I googled the restaurant and discovered a... location in Hyde Park. Street parking is available. When I walked into the restaurant, I received a friendly greeting. I orderedtwo Chorizo Egg Rolls, Pork Ramen Soup, and Asian Paella. I enjoyed the egg roll, and I could taste chorizo in every bite. Eventhough the ramen soup was delicious, I will try the Duck Gumbo Soup when I return. I love Paella, and Saucy Porky made my day.The Jasmin rice complements the meats in the dish, and I will try a fried egg next time. The portions were shareable. Although Ifinished the soup, I saved an egg roll and half of the Paella for the following day. The leftovers were just as good. If youwant to avoid the downtown area, the location in Hyde Park is perfect, and you can sit on the patio. I highly recommended SaucyPorka. Read more
