Frank, the proprietor and chef, has worked in this small place for over 50 years. The results of his life work can be described... as one of the very best thin crust pizzas in the Chicago area. Frank and his restaurant are old school. He works hard and hasfocused on his craft. An excellent pizza is a given. The pizza is amazing. Just the right amount of toppings. The crust is thin and crispy. The Italian sausage is home-made and... great. The people are really nice. The interior has an old times feel, but clean. I will return! CAUTION: I'm knocking a staroff for the fact that they charge a fee for using a credit card. It seemed to be pretty significant. Bicycling: Elston andLawrence's both have bicycle lanes. It's very accessible by bicycle. There are old parking meters to lock your bicycle. Read more
What a great pizza. Ordered an extra large half sausage and Gardinera. Crust had a great taste and a nice crunch to it. Nice... corn meal dust on it. This pizza does not turn into a soft gooey ness, each piece stands up I noticed they use a Fauld's Oven tocook the pizza and that's the sign of a great pizza place. Only a handful of pizza places have then. This is my new go to placefor pizza we have been looking for, best carry out on Lawerence and Elston. Read more
