The waitress Raquel was great.She tended to our needs until the end of our visit. The atmosphere is nice and it was pretty... clean. My complaint is that if you order drinks first its pay as you go with an 18% gratuity included. Also if you are dining inyou are served in togo containers. So i was charged 2 gratuities and everyone at my table was charged a separate gratuity ontheir bills. Wow. The food and daiquiris where ok but this place is a little on the expensive side. We went to S2 restaurant. Once we entered no one was at the front so we decided to walk to the bar. I asked could we be seated... and sat at a table. No one gave us a menu so I got up to get one. After sitting for awhile a asked someone ?how does this work?. You have to order your food at the bar, pay for it and wait til your number is called. Nae took my order and was very niceand suggested items from the menu. The frozen drinks cost 10.00 small, 15.00 large and even one that cost 20.00. Once you getyour food it comes in a styrofoam container which is nicely sealed. Check your receipt because they do add a gratuity and theydo ask for a tip once you pay. Overall the restaurant is nice, well lit, good music and decorated well. As for the food seasonedwell VERY TASTY!! My pics may not make the food look appealing so just go lololol. BTW? From the cozy atmosphere, to the excellent customer service, beautiful interior design and most of all the amazing food! This... was my very first experience here and I over loved it! First time here and I love good food. We were greeted when we walked in told where to go to order and we decided to just sit at... the bar. The young lady that served us said she was the general manager. Everyone was so nice. We went around 130pm or so it wasempty for the most part. We had the jerked shrimp Alfredo, the fried catfish dinner and the jerked lamb chops with sides mac andcheese, yams, broccoli and asparagus. Food was really good and flavorful and the daiquiris were good especially with a shot ofyour choice. I will definitely be back. Read more
Glad there?s another black owned establishment in the land! The food is goodt! The whole menu is banging! Ordered the lamb chops... w/asparagus & broccoli& cheese, Philly cheese egg rolls & the shrimp Alfredo pasta! Food will definitely give you the flavor &satisfaction you crave. Only need to improve on the cleaning of tables when people leave. I hope they have bottomless mimosasfor brunch, stay tuned. . . Also the ambiance is great! I highly recommend this daiquiri bar in Chicago. The atmosphere is very laidback, and the music is a mixture between R&B and Hip... Hop, so you?ll definitely enjoy the vibe. If you?re looking for a nice spot to have some good food and drinks, this isdefinitely the place for you. You can seat yourself at this place, so there?s no need for a reservation, and you pick up yourfood at the bar as well, so it?s not a regular dine in experience. But you?ll love that the daiquiris are strong! So you?lldefinitely get your money?s worth after purchasing one, and the food doesn?t disappoint either. Our food came out hot and tookno more than 15-20min to come out. I highly recommend the Buffalo Chicken Rolls appetizer, and the Salmon dinner.
