I?ve been doing my best to eat every spicy fried chicken sandwich that is available in this fantastic city, and it was Roost?s... time to be tested. I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich Homestyle Nashville Hot on a biscuit and fresh cut fries, and theirpeach cobbler. After realizing I couldn?t get a cup of tap water, I decided to order a lil jug of lemonade. My brother orderedthe 3 tenders with fries, and a biscuit. The staff was friendly and seemed like they were having a great time at work, andprofessional enough?I am at a fried chicken joint not Mastro?s?so service was more than adequate. The food came out relativelyquick, and was fresh & piping hot. The sandwich was very good, not dry (hard with a chicken breast), and spice flavor wasgood-to-great?for being second down from their spiciest option?the sandwich wasn?t SPICY spicy (my tolerance is probably a touchhigher than some), but that?s all good and the sandwich didn?t stand a chance?10/10 it was devoured. The biscuit, Fries, andPeach Cobbler get honorable mentions because they also were great to help round out my meal which was 10/10 for quality andflavor. I got to try the tenders my brother ordered and they were also great?breading was not overdone, spice was similar tomine, and they were decent in size (as they should be for the price). The meal was very filling, and the lemonade wasgreat. The only thing I wanted to address is price: this is not a *cheap* place to eat. In fact, I would say their pricepoint is on the higher end from other spots I?ve tried. The meal was around $30 per person (if you also get lemonade) and thelemonade (1qt/32oz) was $7?THAT IS *A LOT* for lemonade?so much so, I am guessing the employee may be new because when she rangme up for two lemonades, she thought the total (~$15) was wrong (it wasn?t)?haha. Awesome place. We did two build your own chicken sandwiches that were stellar. The biscuits are lovely and the sauces and blue... cheese were perfect. Chicken was breaded and cooked perfectly. We liked the ?spicy? better than the Nashville Hot. The Mac andcheese and fries were excellent as well. No indoor seating but they have a few tables on a little patio out front. Very juicy and tender Chehalis cien tenders. Hand cut fries were really tasty - loved the seasoning on them. Got the medium... level of spice for the tenders and really enjoyed them. It was delicious. Chicken was suuuuper tender and juicy. The portion was extremely generous - ordered the 3 tender meal... (Nashville) and they gave me a 4th tender on the house! And the portion of fries was absolutely enormous. Place is kind of smalland I didn't LOVE eating in with all the foot traffic but it is what it is. Mac and cheese was also pretty on-point and provideda nice escape from heat of the chicken.
