Had a couple of hours to wait for my train. Once I located the food court in Union Station, I ordered the pulled chicken... sandwich with steak fries and Cole slaw. Chicken was tasty, roll was an ordinary hamburger bun, fries fresh hot and crispy, andthe tiny dish of Cole slaw rather peppery and interesting. Good spot. Read more

I wish I could rate this place higher, because the guy working was really nice. He gave me the Thursday/Friday rib plate special... on a Tuesday, and I tipped accordingly. But the food just wasn't very good. I waited a long time while they grilled the ribs, but they were not super tender, and they were covered in a sauce that was overpowering, and the flavor was not good. The frieswere okay. The coleslaw was decent, but it only came with a couple of forkfulls. The best thing about the meal was the roll, which was decent. I shouldn't have expected so much from a BBQ place in Chicago, but I will definitely not make that mistakeagain. Read more

Robinson Ribs was at the Taste of Chicago July 2022. They had boneless rib sandwich on the menu so I split this with my friend... instead of trying to do ribs and fries b/c we didn't want fries. Well, the sandwich seemed like a thin patty from costco's norib taste. The McRib would have been better than this. I see it's on their regular menu too. Sad because wanted to enjoy them Isee another review said the ribs weren't good so you may want to eat somewhere else instead. Read more

First of this is our first time ordering from here Robinson's No. 1 Ribs. My husband wanted ribs while I order pizza from one of... our favorite place. He was excited because the were smoked and not baked ribs ( how he likes them). After getting home with theribs and the pizza was delivered we sat and started to eat. I took one bite of the ribs and I spit it out. It was salty anddry.. I also order chicken tenders and they were dry. Both felt like they were just reheated and served.. But I will alsoacknowledge that the staff was supper friendly and went out of the way to comply with my demands.. I will rate them 5 ? fortheir great service. Read more

The BBQ was delicious! Ordering was a bit challenging with masks, accents, and my general grogginess to work through but I... wasn't bothered until they forgot to give me my German chocolate cake . The size of the slice made up for that mistake. ???? Ofcourse, I might be biased. Had a juicy pulled chicken sandwich, coleslaw, and baked beans here after 2 days of Amtrak loungesnacks. Read more

Every time that I pass through Chicago Union Station, I stop by Robinson’s for the catfish sandwich. The catfish is not doughy... or soggy as I have experienced at other places. Instead, the batter is a party of well organized and blended spices that add alittle crisp to the catfish. The best part is that you do t have to wait until Friday to order the catfish; it is servedeveryday! Also, the prices are very reasonable, less than $10 for 2 pieces of fish, fries, and coleslaw! The ribs have a good flavor. However MOST of the rib tips were burnt. The ones that are not burnt taste pretty good. The greens... have a sweet flavor. This is the MOST OVERPRICED food for VERY small portions. I paid $13 for this rib tip combo. They need toincrease the portion size a little. This is the flattest skimpiest piece of cornbread I ever seen. My portion looked likesomeone ate out of it already . Read more
