Reviews for Roanoke Restaurant in Chicago, IL
This is a beautiful restaurant, there was no wait and we were seated immediately. Our service was fast and very friendly. The... food was delicious, but a little more expensive than that the google review lead us to believe. There is a little bit of a huntto find the restrooms but it gives you a chance to see the rest of the building! This was a wonderful experience definitelyworth checking out! Read more
Had a great lunch at the bar. My bartender, Tim I believe, is one of the best service people I've encountered! He made great... suggestions, quickly replaced my lunch when they ran out of a component and even gave me a taste of their in-house infusedbourbon! Couldn't ask for a better restaurant experience. I will be back! Read more
Roanoke is a great spot for dinner and drinks if you’re in the Loop! I had one of the best espresso martinis here and the food... was on point. Would definitely return! Actually, I still remember how amazing the burrata was here and now I use it as mystandard to judge other places. Worth a visit! Read more
In town for a business meeting staying in the hotel above Marriott Residence Inn - 2nd time in 3 months and again - the food and... service did NOT disappoint! Tonight I had the rotisserie chicken dinner at the advice of the bartender and it was spectacular.(I sat at the bar but there is plenty of seating in the dining room and even some patio space outside). He also made to order acustom bourbon old fashioned infused with their special fruity concoction. Quick and friendly service. Clean. Good options onthe menu for dinner. I will be back and I definitely recommend! It should be noted the hours posted on Google are not correct(says on Sundays closed at 8pm but according to the sign on the door it’s 9pm. Read more
Stopped by on a trip to the city. Saw the high ratings & it being located next to our hotel; we stopped by for lunch. Staff was... friendly & the vibe was great. Pretty busy at the time of our visit but we were still seated right away withoutreservations. The avocado shrimp was flavorless in itself but the added avocado and fruit in plate added flavor but it justwasn’t something we enjoyed. Biscuit was amazing & id get again. I wanted the lamb sandwich but was told after I ordered itthat they ran out. I went with prime rib sandwich but was not impressed. My rating is for the food- I don’t think spendingthat much was worth it for the taste of food. Read more

A more elegant brunch/lunch place with a more open kitchen so you can see the cooks work! I highly recommend this place for... brunch, the drinks are incredible and beautiful! I got the Good Witch and it was SO tasty. There was a drink called Purple Rainthat's SO pretty! I very rarely see purple drinks that beautiful and Felicia. The burrata was a delicious meal but we shared itas an appetizer. The condiments with it were amazing! The daily popover (which is close to a yorshire pudding texture) isdelightful but huge! We didn't realize it's came with 2 and it doesn't state that on the menu so recommend sharing it with oneor even two people! I got the avocado baked eggs and it was delicious but a bit odd to eat. It was a whole avocado, cut inhalf, with a poached egg in each half but I want expecting the skin to still be on the avocado so it was awkward toeat. Overall it was delicious but the lack of descriptions to include important notes for the meals is the only reason I gaveit a 4 and not a 5. I wish the menu made mention that there were skins on the avocados or that the waiter could have looked atmy party of 6 and suggested we split 3 popovers out at least make mention how big they are (we ordered 5 of them on top of ourmeals, drinks, and other appetizers and so it became wasteful). I want to add, for accessibility reasons: The restrooms are anadventure, I had to go upstairs and down a hall to get to it. There are elevators for those that can't take stairs though! Justa bit of a journey to get there. Read more
I’ve been here twice since moving up to chicago and it has yet to disappoint. My first time here was with my brother and we... just got a series of appetizers which were delightful. The second time was with my best friend who was visiting for Australia. She has a severe gluten allergy, among other allergies, and they were very accommodating to her. Both times were at lunch and weate at the bar and that’s what I enjoy the most… eating at the bar during the mellow time. Read more
