So I?ve going to the Roadhouse 66 for a while now. Before & after Cubs games, College Football games, etc, and just to hang out.... Matt, the owner, is truly a nice guy and really succeeds in making the atmosphere welcoming and fun. It is a fun place to watcha game etc., it can be really loud and crowded but it is a sports bar. I like the camaraderie of a raucous crowd. The true gemsof this place are how great the food is, and how frequently they clean the bathrooms when it is busy. The food is so much betterthan most bars in Wrigleyville, and better than most wannabe gastropubs within miles. The Roadhouse 66 is a legit contender forbest sports bar in Wrigleyville. Not to sound like an old geezer here, but the music was cranked so loud I couldn?t keep a flowing conversation with my buddy... standing right next to me, with the both of us yelling. Definitely a good spot if you?re not looking to converse and wouldrather live inside the music. Shot glasses are 75% glass, so you get more to drink shying away from shots and sticking withbeer. Great neighborhood bar, with good food and extremely nice servers and bartenders. First off, get the appetizer sampler (pic... attached), it's one of the best in the city with a mountain of amazing cheese curds, wings, mashed potatoes bites all on amountain of fries and blue cheese. This is also paired with 5 sauces, so you have everything you could want, it would def feed3-4 people. Love the service and food here, wings are one of the best in the area. Read more
Nice spot and super friendly service. Great place to watch a game especially when the Cubs are out of town. Nice selection of... draft beers and the FOOD IS EXCELLENT. The wings are too notch. The steak tacos are solid. Mac and cheese. Cheese curds. Thelist goes on. It?s definitely not a place you can eat a lot without gaining serious pounds but when you?re hungry for good barfood and a good atmosphere , this is the place. Read more
