Reviews for Redz Belizean Restaurant in Chicago, IL
Got lunch here before festival with the gang. Had their oxtail dinner personally. We all thought it was deliciously fantastic.... Glad I found this place to come to. Great value for great food! Meat was slow cooked tender and plate is not dry but very juicyand well seasoned. Would highly recommend to folks looking for Central American / Caribbean kind of food. Read more
Definitely not going back. Made an order on the phone for 2 lg oxtail Stew and a lg stew chicken. When we got there, there was... no stew anything and the orders were reduced to small. The flavors were too soft to critique for Caribbean foodies to enjoy. Theowner Red is entertaining for sure and the young man at the counter was gracious upon seeing our dissatisfaction. Muchappreciation for the free drinks thrown in. To think I rejected our hosts review beforehand. Read more
Delicious. First time coming in and got the recommended Malcolm Cup along with plantains to tide us over until dinner. Wife ate... most of the plantains before I even sat down and the Malcolm cup was savory and delicious. If I didn?t live so far away I?d bein multiple times per week. Read more
Simple menu with some healthy prices but wow totally worth it! Reminded me of that good comfort food but on another level of... delicious. Plantains were sooo good as well the red beans and rice and stewed chicken. Flavors complimented each otherperfectly. Read more
Redz was delicious and give you plenty of food for your money. The cashier Jasmine was very friendly and professional. I... appreciate her sales pitch! She had me laughing. I love their entire menu. My favorite is the oxtails with rice, potato salad, and plantains. It's so tasty with the onion and garlic sauce. I had the meat pie and panades as an appetizer. My plate lasted mefor lunch and dinner. They really need to open a Redz on the southside of Chicago. I am tired of traveling all the way North. Iwant you all out south so I can eat it all the time. The owners are wonderful, they treat the customers like family and Iappreciate that! I wish they would open one on the southside!! Two times in one week I traveled to get us some food!! Read more
