Be prepared to spend $$$$ on an amazing tasting menu that transports you to Spain. It's a sea focused palate that doesn't... disappoint. You may have to supplement. Technically there is no wine by the glass outside of the tasting menu pairing but theycan offer anything that's opened. I loved the ambience and decor. Great service. Delicious food. It's definitely a place to takeyour boo if you want to splurge and impress. Read more
Amazing experience. The food was delicious. It really felt like there was a lot of time and effort into providing the guest with... the flavors of coastal Portugal/Spain while still being incredibly balanced. Well deserving of their 1 Michelin star. On top ofthe great food, the staff was extremely nice and personable and were more than happy to answer our questions as we went throughthe tasting. It felt very 1 on 1 as the chef was making most of our courses right in front of us. They even made us a list ofall the other restaurants they would recommend in Chicago which is above and beyond expectations. Read more
Great service and wait staff (except for one immoral item I?ll talk about later). Food was beautifully presented, however, the... 10 course tasting menu left me and my wife laughing hysterically half-way through. No offense to the chef, but some of the itemslike the toast with sea urchin and the monkfish liver shooter made both of us want to throw up. Just tasted pretty bad. We bothlike seafood (granted were not super adventurous with seafood but we still try it) but some of the flavors here were extreme. We?ve been to many Michelin star restaurants all around Chicago and we left here thinking that it was a bit overpriced. Theworst part is their processing fee. Do you really think people are going to carry around $600 in cash during a pandemic? I thinkthat?s immoral. Charged us $55! If this was a charge that goes to the wait staff, that would be fine. But if this is just purerevenue to the owners, then that?s taking advantage of the patrons. Read more
A Michelin Starred restaurant lived up to the title! We had an early Valentines day celebration here yesterday, and the Porto... team didn't disappoint us. Each cuisine that we ordered was intriguingly delicious!!! KUDOS to the great Chef's, sweet andattentive Staff, and to the whole team that was just nice, well mannered, and happy people! We were seated at the Chef's tablethat gave us the view of all the actions on how they work together. We started it with the interesting fish oil shotscomplimentary from the restaurant. Devin, our host for the night was excitedly explained each menu to us.We started our orderswith Uni-Toast, and Fire-Roasted Oysters! Delicious and Fresh! Our Favorites are the ff: Matrimonio de Anchoas (Anchovies),Diver Scallops, Grilled Ocropus, and Jamon desserts! We ended up ordering our 2nd plates of everything!! That's how good it wasand SUPER FRESH! It's one of the Best Highest Quality Unique food that we've had. We will definitely come back! Read more

Michelin star awarded Porto Chicago is an eclectic and charming restaurant located in West Town, Chicago. The colors of the... decor and ambience are rich, vibrant, and inviting. What I loved most was the history behind certain pieces in the venue, givingit true Portuguese and Spanish flare. The large chandelier near the entrance goes unnoticed as it sparkles beneath the sun roof. The main dining room is immediately visible when walking into the restaurant. There are lovely velvet chairs located at the bar,in seating places near the windows, and larger tables underneath the chandelier and in another area adjacent to the frontentrance. The second dining area is located toward the back of the restaurant, with a long wooden table that stands out as thecenterpiece of this room. There is also a lot more seating and light fixtures made from fishing contraptions. The wallpaperreminded me of shells and sea waves. The decor in this room gives a different feel but beautiful nonetheless. For dinner, Itried their 10-course tasting menu. I love experiences like this because it exposes me to flavors and cooking techniques I?munfamiliar with, despite my culinary background. 1st course: CONSERVAS & SEAWEED 2nd course: SALPICÓN DE MARISCO 3rd course:UNI TOAST 4th course: MATRIMONIO DE ANCHOAS 5th course: RILLETTE DE TRUCHA 6th course: RAZOR CLAMS AND WHITE ASPARAGUS 7thcourse: SARDINE 8th course: BACALHAU 9th course: MOLE DE MAR 10th course: PLAYA Cocktail: CREPÚSCULO Dinner was certainlydifferent from what I?m used to, but I truly enjoyed the experience. The cocktail was very interesting, it consisted of Gin andSquid Ink! I spent 4 hours slowly indulging into each course and analyzing its unfamiliarity. I welcomed this encounterwholeheartedly. I advise anyone who desires to try this menu to do so with an open mind and understand the purpose behind thecooking styles and flavors. I definitely recommend Porto Chicago for a visit. It felt like a small journey to Portugal and Read more
