The ambiance was nice and lighting was perfect for a date night. The drinks were really good and the food was AMAZING! Buffalo... chicken Mac and cheese is a MUST HAVE! We had the skirt steak and OMG so good. We ordered the chicken tacos which we couldn’teat because we were so full so I had them for lunch the next day and still impressive. Dessert too!!! Wasn’t too much of a fanof the chocolate cake buuuuut the beignets!!!!! I’m so not a sweet type of person but I LOVED THEM! They melt in your mouth! But as if the scene and food wasn’t enough the service was the best part. Kelsey was the absolute best server ever. Checked onus and was patient with us and all his recommendations were on point and just an absolute breath of fresh air. Great energy allaround! Def will be coming back!!! Read more

Burger highlight - Rueben! Juicy burger blends great with a bit of crisp lettuce crunch, the corned beef and Swiss, and a touch... of dressing on the bun- top and bottom! I loved the big salt flakes on the fries. Variety of beer styles, I went for the Ninjavs Unicorn great with the burger Read more

My party and I went to Port and Park Bistro for the first time for Chicago Restaurant Week. Like most brunch places, it was... packed when we got there - good to see businesses doing well - so I'm glad that we made a reservation. The host, a nice, oldergentleman informed us that our table wasn't quite ready but the wait wouldn't be too long. When he saw that we had children(which I thought I had mentioned when making the reservation), he kindly tried to make sure that we had a table that wouldaccommodate them comfortably. We were seated on the bar side. The atmosphere, decorations, and music were all nice and upbeat. Our server, who I think was the lead bartender (?) was friendly but also seemed a bit curt at times. It's also more impressiveif when you don't write any of the orders down that you don't have to ask the patrons to repeat themselves more than once. Justa tip... For my entree, I wanted to try something I've never had so ordered the shakshuka. I had a feeling it wouldn't be alarge portion (based on the description and because it seems like Restaurant Week portions are small) and I was correct. However, it was very tasty and I'm glad that I ordered it. My friends seemed to enjoy their meals: chicken and waffles, Chicagoskillet, eggs benedict, and the fritata as well. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience. I've been wanting to try Port for awhile now and glad I had the opportunity to do so. I would certainly make another visit there. Read more

Worst brunch experience in Chicago. Don’t be fooled by the seemingly too-good-to-be-true Chicago restaurant week deal for... bottomless brunch here, trust your instincts. First of all, this place required a deposit in order to make a reservation, whichin return you would expect to guarantee you a table at that time. I had to call the owner a week later to get the deposit back.We were seated pretty quickly but after we ordered, it was over an hour until the waitress came back with any other informationabout our food. This is completely unacceptable. When we finally flagged over the waitress she didn’t say sorry, instead shegave an excuse, saying that there was “another large party in the back” — we were a party of 9 and should have receivedthe same attention as whatever large party was there. It’s one thing to apologize in advance and offer a free appetizer, butthey weren’t capable even of that. It took over an hour for chips and guac to come out… When the food finally came out, twohours later, half of it was average and the other half was nasty cafeteria food. It all felt like it had been waiting under aheat lamp for way too long. I ended up sending back the shakshuka — it was practically inedible and the dish was plated likesomeones leftovers. We were all clearly exhausted and wanting to leave and the waitress tried to offer us a free round of shots(at 4pm on a Sunday?) which we all refused, rather than offering to comp something actually useful like the $18 chips and guacor any of the other over-priced items on the receipt. The entire experience was over 2 hours during which we only receivedservice the last 30 minutes. To top it all off, we were automatically charged 20% gratuity, but I wanted to leave so desperatelythat I didn’t even argue. Could not recommend less. Below average food, horrible service, unaccommodating staff. Read more

Came here for mimosas and to celebrate a birthday, the prices are a bit too high for the quality of the food. That being said... the portions are definitely enough for 2 people- or for dinner. The place itself is cute as hell, the owner is a doll and evenbrought out a “shot” of orange juice for our littlest attendee. I wouldn’t come back for the food but I’d come back forthe drinks and the atmosphere! Read more

Loved the place. Went for dinner and drinks first and then went back for brunch on a Sunday. The service is very personalized... and professional and the food is delicious. Plenty of tasteful food. The place has a good vibe which invites you stay for a fewmore drinks. Will definitely go back in the future. Read more
