I must be crazy because I continue to order from this Popeyes knowing something is going to be wrong. This experience was... interesting because the store didn't have any change for patrons paying with cash!! How does the managers and owners let thishappen? I ordered spicy chicken; they gave me mild. I ordered a large red beans/rice, they gave me a small. I don't even bothercalling back to inform them or reaching out to customer service because nothing ever happens. I have concluded Popeyes operatesat a below average rating and nobody in the business care to be better. Read more
Same issues remain the last time I was here. Long waits for food, understaffed, restaurant is also still too small to service... the busy location it sits at. I'm sure The frustrations u see via the workers are partly because the multi million dollarcompany Popeyes obviously isn't reading reviews nor making adjustments to fix the issues. When customers come in and add theirfrustrations, it just makes the entire experience a mess. Because u essentially have a ball of stress and frustration, viaeveryone bouncing personal issues off one another. At the end, the workers and customers are stressed, while Popeyes just addedto their million dollar pot, via the bad experience. Last time I went to this location, I assume around 3pm, the doors werelocked and workers were only taking drive through orders. I assume this is because they didn't have workers to handle the crowd?or because they didn't want to be bother with the crowd? No note WaS on the door, so I'm left to assume. My visit that I'mreferring to in my opening happened yesterday. The doors were now unlocked, but it was a 67 degrees day, yet the store employeesturned the heat up in the lobby to well over 95+ degrees. Every customer that wanted to order inside talked about how hot it wasinside the lobby. The reason the heat was turned up, from my pov, is because the workers wanted it to be so hot that peoplewouldn't want to come inside to order or wait for their order (around their busy afternoon hours). This is a way they couldprobably cut down their traffic so they won't have to be bothered with the issues I made above. The regional manager for Chicagohas a picture of herself taped on the glass, along with her number. But the issues at this location is beyond regionalmanagement, from my pov. So what's the point? It's too many near by chicken restaurants in this area, in Hyde park and around,to be bothered with the issues at this location. Gave them another shot, but I think I'm completely done from Read more
I have never been in a restaurant with such rudeness and disrespect from the employees in all my life and then the so - called... Manager that was on staff didn't make matters any better because him and his staff did more horse playing around and cursing atone another like they were on the streets and to top it off some of them had the nerves to go out the back door to smoke whilethe line was out the door waiting to place their orders!! This place needs to be Shut Down or t he entire shift needs to beFired or replaced with Older Decent Responsible Adults! I'll never go there again for Nothing and the inside needs cleaningbadly. They don't wear hair nets gloves or nothing! Very Unsanitary on top of that?????? Read more
Negative 1 Star!!!! This place is horrible understaffed, attitudes stinks, poor customer service, wait time ridiculous... (Especially around lunch time) and always out of fresh chicken & condiments sad. The bottom line everyone needs to be placed ina customer service training class (manager 1st), it starts from the top your staff is only as good as you and what you allow andstand for...Sincerely a customer who loves Popeyes!!! I rarely leave a bad review...but this place here...I WILL NEVER PATRONIZE AGAIN! The Franchisee must be totally desperate for... employees because it appears that the bottom of the barrel was hired. A bunch of young people with NO Customer Service Traing,NO Professionalism, and NO Respect. Popeyes is ALWAYS SUPER SLOW. But I knew that already, so I was willing to wait. I had aDrive Thru order. The left panel kept blinking so it was challenging to read. The order taker has an attitude...she has nolistening skills and was impatient. They tried to cheat me. They insisted on charging me Combo prices although I made itcrystal clear that I did NOT want Combos. I left and went to the Popeyes on 74th & Stony Island...same exact order...save$4. Maybe the Owner should send some secret shoppers to their store to get an idea on how patrons are treated...that's if theycare. NEVER AGAIN FOR ME. Read more
