This visit took a bit longer than anticipated, as the location was VERY busy. There was a shortage of a few popular menu items.... Regardless of being very busy, and doing the very best they could to keep up, the service here was very professional andcourteous, despite being obviously overwhelmed. Dining room could have used a little more attention, which I'm certain wouldhave, had they not been struggling to keep up with the drive through and delivery pickups. The staff there is super friendly and helpful. They have been out of pop due to not having CO2 for at least 2 weeks. There... offering sweet tea or lemonade. They also don't have any shrimp. I got the spicy tenders and fries and it was delicious Read more
I believe in giving truthful reviews so I have been putting off reviewing this Popeye's location. I have to really search for... something good to say about the restaurant. I drive out of my way to avoid it. Many of the employees act like they don't want tobe at work. Expected items are out of stock more often than they are in stock and it seems as if the staff and the corporateoffice don't care. I say this because this lack of standards has existed for AT LEAST two years. I don't know when they last hadunsweetened iced tea or a working telephone! You can't reach a Manager because the phone number is disconnected. (WHAT?) I oncetried to order delivery from this location which is within six blocks of my home but it wasn't available - the order had to comefrom Ashland and Irving Park! This past Thursday they had a hand-printed sign saying Closed Today but they did not even try toexplain anything. I automatically thought, "Someone finally realized they should be shutdown", but who knows what was goingon. THIS RESTAURANT NEEDS AN OVERHAUL! Read more
I work nearby and have seen the rapid decline in food service and quality. Literally they open and close when they feel like it.... Some days it's late as 1pm other days they close at 8-8:30pm... And have the NERVE to be indignant about it. When you can getthe chicken? It's either absurdly bland or entirely overwhelming in flavors. They have a revolving door of employees and a monthago I saw staff members physically fight in the dining area. Popeyes franchise better take action! Read more
This location has been around for more than 25 years, because I remember going here in the 1990s, when I lived nearby at Artists... in Residence. I got tempted to go there today because I saw Popeye's Chicken in my imagination LOL. Their current offer is thefive pieces for $6.99. I would suggest going to Aldi's and getting something to drink there, not unless you want somethingunlimited and with ice from the soda dispenser. Read more
My 5 piece two can dine dinner. What are these? Went through drive thru they told us we had to come inside for the mobile app... order we placed. Tonight my insatiable craving for Popeye?s ( Broadway &Devon ) was met with an even more incredible experience from an employee... named Fran. I normally don?t write fast food reviews, however she and the staff made my experience one of the most pleasant andmemorable experiences I?ve had at a fast food restaurant in a very long time. First off, she was cordial, didn?t make me feellike I was a number. Secondly, she did everything she could to accommodate me. Although, she was tending to my order, I noticedhow she didn?t make the other patrons waiting feel as if they were invisible.
