Reviews for Pokiology in Chicago, IL
Best poke in Chicago! the fish was very fresh and service was great.
My boyfriend and I ordered delivery from here for dinner tonight. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. The price is... reasonable but the portion size is a bit small. I got a salmon bowl with cucumber, pineapple, and red cabbage. I also got thecitrus sauce. First thing that warned me was the color of the salmon. Salmon is usually a pale color but this was bright pink, almost red. It also tasted old. I could tell that this fish was old enough that I didn't feel safe or comfortable eatingit. Second, the topping options were weird and not good. Almost all of them had seasoning or marinate on them which seemsbizzare as you won't know what will taste good together. They were missing many classic toppings as well. No edamame or mango oravocado. Instead they had onions, cabbage, and beansprouts? Poké is not from Asia, it is from Hawai'i. The cuisine was justoff. Lastly, there was no flavor to the citrus sauce. Citrus is one of the strongest flavors out there and very easy to putinto a sauce. I was really disappointed with it. If you want good poké, I highly recommend Pono Ono in Evanston if you canmake the trek or delivery fees. It's much better than this. Read more
My wife and I are poke lovers. Typically, we order in from Poke Poke. Today, I was running errands in Roscoe Village so opted to... mix it up and try Pokiology. What a mistake that was. Where to begin... Despite what some reviews say, the portion sizes weremeager. My wife got the small, which really should've been called a mini. This is exacerbated by Pokiology's choice of arectangular container, better-suited for a stir-fry or Thai food. C'mon... It's a poke BOWL, not a poke container. Let's talkabout the actual food. They have some interesting toppings, like kimchi, but they have sacrificed some of the most basictoppings, like cucumbers and edamame. This leads to pretty sparse pickings. The protein and base was ok... nothing special. Ichose a half-and-half base, and because of all the drippy sauces and liquids they add to the bowl, the greens were inedible.Sauces were pretty bland. All in all, I will definitely not be trying it again. If you're in the area, or anywhere in Chicagowhere Poke Poke delivers, choose them instead. Read more
1. rice soggy and might not be fresh. 2. seafood def not fresh. 3. no flavor. idk how that could happen with all the... ingredients I had. I didn't finish my bowl. Not sure what anyone else is talking about, but it's a hard pass for me. Read more
This is hands down the best poke bowl in the city. I've tried them all, so I would know. The quantity, quality, and price can't... be beat. You can immediately tell the seafood is the best quality possible. Definitely the only place I'll order from now! Read more
Had Pokiology for the first time, and it was one of my favorite poke bowls I've had! They have a great variety of proteins,... toppings, sauces, etc., so you can make it your own, and the portion size was generous. The staff was super friendly and madehelpful recommendations. Read more

The musubi was fine but the poke was inedible for me - bland rice, too much mayo in all sauces, fish tasted old.
