I was in this place yesterday 04/07/19 and I am a regular. But I had the most humiliating interaction with one of the employees.... First of all I had to wait for a sandwich where I was the only one in the restaurant for almost 30 minutes, second I was askedto pay a dollar extra for everything on the display except for the lettuce and beets which is unusual in my previousexperiences, when I told him that I disagree he went off. I can't count how many times I've ordered here before (both in person and through GrubHub) w/ no previous problems, but... management seems to have recently changed. When picking up my last order I saw the gentleman (who seems to be the new manager,maybe) finishing up my order but handling the food with bare hands, touching the food directly. I asked politely, "Sorry, butwere you wearing food service gloves?" (If you've ever had food poisoning from a restaurant you can understand the need to atleast bring it up. Plus I know the food servers here touch all kinds of things like the cash register and money, so wearinggloves is important for food safety.) The man gets annoyed and points to a box of service gloves and snaps, "Do you see it w/your own eyes?!" Inwardly, I think: Um, I see a box of gloves sitting there w/ my own eyes, yes. What I DON'T see is youactually WEARING any gloves while touching my food. But I could tell it'd be pointless to talk about it with this guy so I tookmy food and left but decided I'd never spend my money here again. I'm a very understanding person but no one likes to get rudetreatment while spending their money somewhere, especially if they're being polite & reasonable customers. EDIT: Just FYI, I'veheard other customers say they've seen this person handle their food with bare hands so if food safety is important to you, youmight want to consider that before ordering from here unless the restaurant pledges to commit to better food safety practices. Obsessed with this place! First tried the healthy bowl last week and it was super yummy! Today, I ordered the Gyro Sandwich and... it was hands down the best Gyro I?ve ever had! The food tastes fresh, and you could tell it was made with passion! Will keepcoming back. ???? Read more

The restaurant is under new ownership as of January 2019. Thus far, each item I have purchased is full of rich flavors and very... filling. I personally highly suggest the lentil soup! It is one of the best I've had in some time (even reheated a few dayslater). The new owner is usually there and is very nice. Read more
