We have been coming to Pete's for years but have recently been quite disappointed in the changes in quality and price. This is... the family sized pizza we ordered for take out. This was once really great pizza. I have been ordering from them for years. I just ordered the Chicken Florentine and it was... awful. ???? I requested a thin crust and this crust was way too thick. I felt like I was eating a brick because it was so dryand hard. I asked for marinara added to the pizza and was given a small cup of sauce on the side of my pizza. This dry, hard, and overcooked pizza was absolutely the WORST PIZZA I HAVE EVER HAD!!! No flavor, no zest, just plain nasty! This was once oneof my favs and I was so disappointed when I took my first bite. Poor quality and zero taste! I will never order anything elsefrom this establishment again. Ya'll fell off BIG TIME! I was born, raised and have lived in Chicago for almost 50 years. I've had every kind of pizza from every pizza place in the... city. Pete's is absolutely the real deal. I came here with my Mom when she came to visit. We ordered a bacon cheeseburger, Italian Beef Sandwich, one order of fries and... two drinks. The food was made quickly and served hot. It was delicious! The sandwiches were so big, we didn't have much room forthe fries. Mom and I have looked over the menu and have ideas of what we plan to order next time! We had recently discovered that we REALLY LOVE Zucchini! So yesterday, we're in the mood for a pizza & had to search for a... pizzeria offering this (unusual?) ingredient. We located Pete's & ordered a large, thin crust pizza with Italian sausage,pepperoni & zucchini, for delivery. The pizza was quite good, except for one thing. We discovered there was NO ZUCCHINI on thispizza!! We checked the receipt to confirm zucchini was listed, as well as charged. Oh well, we will certainly never patronizethis restaurant, again. So sad for them, as we enjoy & order pizza on a regular basis. Read more
