We went in expecting a lot, but the flavors just weren?t there for us. It was bland, average food. I?m glad to see that?s not... most people?s experiences. Read more

cool little spot under the train. the name and the wedge storefront initially attracted me to it, glad the food lived up to my... expectations. really a 4.5, predicting it?ll be updated to a 5 over the next few visits. chicken satay, rangoon, hot peppernoodle, and pad se eu were all super tasty. looking forward to coming back to try the curry and other noodle dishes. lovelyservice from our waiter as well. 5/5! Been coming here for a few years and it is one of my fave noodle shops! Very flavorful and great texture, I could eat the... Pad See Ew endlessly. Next time want to try with tofu instead of chicken. Love that they now have a side patio. $20-30 perperson dine-in, though. But worth it! Read more

I used to frequent Penny's every weekend back in the late 90s and early 2000s. Hadn't been back since then. Since there was a... parking space right in front (!), I decided to stop in and have my old favorites of beef salad and Thai shrimp fried rice. I'msad to report that the tangy lime juice over the beef that you'd want to drink cupfuls of has now turned into some red chunkychile sauce. The Thai shrimp fried rice was essentially flavorless. So disappointed. Unsure if the owners are the same as 20years ago. The service was good, however. I had a mango sour too that was ok. Bill was $30 for the three items including tax, sonot too bad when you consider the outrageous prices for food now. Read more

My top Thai restaurant in Chicago, the best authentic dishes. You can't go wrong with anything on that menu. Pad see ew has a... deep rich flavor with broccoli. I could eat a whole tub full. Tom ka kai soup hits the spot everytime without fail, and nowits getting colder it will become my all cure. Read more
